    Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

    What are your favorites?
  • Okay LLV, we might have a little difference of opinion here for once.

I LOVE, simply LOVE black pitted olives. I can't stand any other kind. Not the greek or kalamata or any others. ALthough I love them, if I recall, they're about 9 calories a piece - so I've stopped eating them . In the old days, all I needed was some cut up romaine lettuce and some sliced olives (a alot of them, that was the problem) and that was a great salad for me. Add in some feta cheese and some sliced red onion and then it was an exceptional, EXCEPTIONAL salad.
  • I eat olives every day. I LOVE them. Green and black... all kinds! I count them and put them on my salad or in other things I eat. Yum!
  • The big green ones that go on a plastic bar toothpick and are then baptized in a Bloody Mary.

I love olives too but in a martini ... Never heard of them in a Bloody Mary though sounds like I'd like that
  • I like all kinds of olives, the greek ones, the green ones etc... it's been a while but I used to indulge in the olives that are stuffed with bleu cheese or whole roasted garlic cloves.

    Olives on pizza, rules!
  • Oh, just wanted to add that other than Martinis I love all types of olives...
  • I love olives; kalamatas are my favorite, but I like them all, *except* black olives. Black olives aren't salty or flavorful enough!

Kalamatas have 15 calories each, so I only eat them sparingly.
  • I only really like Kalamata olives....my 9 month old baby likes them too, he stole one off my plate and was trying to eat it (ACK choking hazard!!!!) and screamed bloody murder when I took it away. I tore it into pieces and he devoured it. Salt fiend!!

    I hate green ones

Regular black olives are ok on certain foods like pizza or some mexican food but not much else.
  • I'm not an olive fan. Not even in my martini, normally I go for an onion.
  • I love olives! The kalamata, greek, nicoise, or other strongly flavored black ones are my favorites. The pitted canned black kind are ok. I've come across some green olives that I like, but for the most part I don't care for them much.

I like to put them in salads, in pasta, on pizza, have a few on the side with falafel, on sandwiches. Such wonderful flavor, mmmm...

I hate bloody marys. I don't like tomato juice, celery or pickles. Guess that leaves the vodka and olive. Better stick to martinis then.

Haha, not so fast, Robin! My favorite olives are the black ones. I don't like greek olives, either. Every now and then I'll eat a green olive. I recently bought these FANTASTIC big huge green olives that are stuffed with a whole garlic clove and they're very yummy. But the spanish olives I'm not too crazy about because they're so salty.

I love greek salads, though, with the "average" black olives, red onion and feta cheese
  • Love olives in pretty much every variation - but of course, my favorite is the blue cheese stuffed olive in a nice martini!

.. I love olives, blue cheese and martinis... I must try this variation
  • I love all olives. The fat, the salt; oh they're just so perfect.
