I'm wondering if I'm doing a really bad thing or not. I've really been working on portion control, and the only way I've been able to do this is by eating Lean Cuisine 1-2 times a day. I really like their choices and enjoy eating them. They fill me up and I'm able to count my calories a lot easier than eating home cooked meals. (my hubby is the cook. I can't cook worth squat.)
The problem is obvious....I'm wondering if the sodium content is too high and that I'm doing more harm than good. I am losing weight by eating less and going on that treadmill. By using Lean Cuisine I've really cut back on how much I eat. If I'm given a home made meal, I eat waaaaaay too much. I have zero control. But with these frozen meals, I have that control. What do you think? Should I keep doing what I'm doing?
OH, and I'm not a huge water drinker, but I'm working on that.

Heidi,
I would look at the sodium and see what it works out to be percentage-wise... I use Healthy Choice for dinner for the same reason, at least when I was getting started - now my hubby is home (he was deployed) and I have been staying on track - I found great smaller plates at Target for 2 bucks each and I just plate mine first using measuring spoons to make sure that I stay on track. I often take the leftovers and make another plate to make dinner easy later in the week...
Hope this helps!

Would you let your hubby dish out your portion, scaling it to Lean Cuisine size? (that's if he has a good eye for portion sizing and you trust him to do so! LOL)
I agree about watching the sodium, but if it's working for you I don't see any reason to change. I'm a fan of Kashi's frozen dinner entrees because I know they're a good size and they're healthy. They're great for lunch in my office as well.
i use measuring cups for portion control. Not the big glass one...the small ones.
