I have a smoothie every day for breakfast or as my mid-afternoon snack. I usually use this combination:
- plain water
- vanilla favored whey protein (I use the kind that is hormone-free and sweetened with stevia)
- 1 cup frozen berries
- 1 Tbsp ground flaxseeds (for additional fiber)
- optional: 1 Tbsp raw cocoa nibs, 1/2 Tbsp almond butter, 1/4 cup lite coconut milk
I also make my own iced chai latte
by freezing unsweetened vanilla almond/rice milk (I'm intolerant to dairy) in ice cube trays, and then blending it with some cooled brewed Green Chai tea (by Yogi Tea) and adding a little bit of raw honey or 1 packet of Stevia Plus.
