Default Muesli vs Weetabix - help!!

Hello
Ive just started looking into SB, Ive been lurking around here and looking at the various websites and it seems that muesli has a lower GI value than Weetabix
Yet when I got the book Good Carbs Good Fats Guide yesterday, its says that muesli should be avoided in Phase 2 and very limited in Phase 3, but Weetabix is ok.
Im totally confused by this

In South BEach, it's not the GI but the ingredients we check. If you post the ingredients, not the nutritional info, perhaps we can spot the difference.

OK, here is the info on Weetabix
http://www.weetabix.co.uk/products/1/weetabix.html

And here is the info on Alpen
http://www.weetabix.co.uk/products/5...ded_sugar.html

I have mixed oats with the Alpen to bring down the GI even more

OK - Wheatabix is OK although it does have some sugar. Wholegrain Wheat (105%)*, Malted Barley Extract, Sugar, Salt, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Folic Acid.
Alpen is Wholegrain Wheat (42%), Wholegrain Rolled Oats (36%), Raisins (15%), Dried Skimmed Milk, Dried Milk Whey, Roasted Sliced Nuts (3%) (Hazelnuts & Almonds), Malted Barley Extract, Salt. This is not OK because of the raisins. Dried fruits are concentrated sugar and are not allowed on SOuth Beach. Is this what you meant by meusli? I don't think it would throw you much to eat it. especially with extra oats in it. A lot of meusli cereals are just loaded with dried fruit and nuts and sometimems even honey.

Wheatabix has 4.4 grams of sugar and Alpen has 15.9 even in the no sugar one. Better choose Wheatabix
