If you're on phase two you are allowed to have chocolate occationally... from the SBD website it is listed under "foods to enjoy"...

and it also includes under "foods to enjoy" it lists "sweet treats (limit to 75 calories per day)

Some Sugar Free Products may be made with sugar alcohols (isomalt, lactitol, mannitol, sorbitol or xylitol) and are permitted on the SBD. They may have associated side effects of GI distress (abdominal pain, diarrhea & gas) if consumed in excessive amounts.

it's true that some things will have a laxative effect. Which for some people is not such a bad thing. (at least that's what one of my doctors said!)
Moderation is important. On the other hand some of us are not able to stick to a diet that makes us give up too much. I credit my current weight loss to myself ...and my discovery of Keto ice cream bars!
