Exercise and Phase 1
Hi All,
I'm just starting Phase I, and am wondering about going low-carb in combination with lots of exercise. Elsewhere, I saw someone had said that in the book, the doctor said that if you exercise strenuously you should eat some carbs. For example, I went on a 2-hour bike ride yesterday, and I try to get at least 30 minutes of high-intensity aerobic exercise every day. I don't want to cut back on working out -- it goes against the whole idea, which is getting fitter and slimmer.
Does anyone have any info on this? Are legumes high enough in carbs to take care of the carbs you should eat after exercise to replenish your muscles glycogen stores?
