Due to the starches in the pudding it is not 'allowed' until phase 2.

What about FF Flavored yogurt. I picked some up on a whim, and remember the book (which I gave back to the library) allowing it on Phase 2 (less than 8g sugar per cup). But when reading the ingredients I noticed that there were an awful lot of iffy stuff, like corn-startch...

Most flavored fat free yogurts have cornstarch and other thickening agents in them, plus added sugar, making them unsuitable for Phase 1. But you may have plain FF yogurt and flavor it with SF jam, SF flavored gelatin powder, or another SF flavoring of your choice.

Yes, you may have sugar free jam and jellies on Phase 1.

Cottage, how is that possible? Even if you don't add sugar it's still fruit and all the sugars that go along with fruit.

I know, I've wondered about it, too, but it's on the approved list of foods for Phase 1 in the SouthBeach Supercharged book.

that doesn't make any sense to me at all. maybe it is the small amount of fruit? i can't imagine that sugar free jam causes fewer cravings than a piece of whole fruit. i'll continue to avoid it on phase 1....and always actually, there is something about jelly and jam that just sets the cravings off.

I'm going to move this thread to the Frequently Asked Question area. A lot of Phase 1 Beachers ask about sf puddings and yogurt. Maybe it will help to have it someplace easy to find

Need help with a Lemon Recipe (pudding)?????
Hi eveyone! I went off of SB because I was vacationing in Europe and was not sure of the menu items over there. I didn't gain! Did allot, allot of walking while I was there. I am starting back up on Phase one on Monday. There was a recipe some where on here about SF lemon pudding with Sour Cream or Cottage Cheese and put them in the microwave for two minutes to create a pudding. This stuff was awesome! But I don't know what I did with the receipe an I want to make sure I have the correct ingredients. HELP!...............if anyone knows how to make it let me know. I would appreciate it.
