Bulgur Stuffing
I can low sodium chicken broth
I cup bulgur
I small onion, diced
3 or 4 large mushrooms, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
2 T. olive oil
2 turkey sausage
sage
thyme
salt & pepper

I make the bulgur in the chicken broth and set aside. Saute onions and celery in oil. I remove the casing from the sausage and brown. Mix everything together and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

I may try it this year with home baked whole wheat bread.

Cottage, I make a SBD friendly pumpkin pie and just eliminate the crust.

Hi, chickies!

A couple things--while it's really great to put recipes in here, if we just post them in this thread, when the thread gets pushed to the next page, it'll become very hard for anyone to find these. So! Can you please post your recipe in the recipe forum and then provide a link to it here? If you need help learning how to do that, just PM me and I'd be glad to help you out.

Here are links to threads in the Recipe Forum on Holiday Recipes:

General holiday advice:
What really changed for me at the holidays after SBD is eating a LOT more veggies...it makes a huge difference! I end up full and satisfied, but not overstuffed, gassy, bloated, and uncomfortable, like I was before SBD. It's a much more pleasant sensation now!

Plus, learning to focus on other parts of the holiday that don't have to do with food, like seeing famiily, going for a walk, playing pool, singing songs, playing games outside, like bocce, badminton, or volleyball (depending on your weather) is great, too!
