Has anyone done SBD while nursing? I'd Luke to get my pre-pregnancy body back...and i'm wondering if SBD is safe to do while nursing. He's 2.5mos old and he gets all of his nutrients from me.

Several of our Beachers nurse while following SBD. You have to make a few modifications, though, such as increasing your dairy and protein. Nursing mothers need more calories, and it's important to get them from whole grains, fruits, veggies, and the aforementioned dairy and protein.

You should start in Phase II, according to Dr. A, not Phase I. Need to try and get at least 1800-2000 calories a day, so you may want to track that. If you eat less than 1500 calories a day, your milk supply may decrease.

Thank you! I was thinking of startinjg in P2...just felt more "right" than in P1..I've done SBD before with GREAT success! I am feeding another human being right now though, and I don't want him lacking anything.
