Exclamation Slim Fast Shakes....

Hello all! I've been on 3FC before, but it's been a while. I have a new screen name (b/c I couldn't remember my old log in info) and wanted to start new.

My BF and I have been doing slim fast shakes for breakfast and we really like them. We plan on starting the Beach on Monday. I have done SB, Slim Fast, weight watchers, and many other diets before. SB works well for me and I think it will for my BF too.

Is there any way that we can work the Slim Fast Optima shakes/bars into our SB plan?

Thanks!

Jen

Iwant2beskinny! I don't know if the new Slimfast shakes have been reformulated, but the old ones were too processed to fit into the SBD guidelines. It would be best to check the ingredients to see just what is in them first. Do you have the book? It's very important to read it thoroughly so you can understand the concept of this way of eating. Good luck to you and your BF!

Thanks for the warm welcome, cottagebythesea!

I read the book when I was on SB before. I figured that the shakes wouldn't be allowed, but I thought I'd ask. The Optima product has 190 calories, 6 g of fat, 25 carbs (18 of which is sugar), and 10 g of protein. Top ingredients include FF milk, water, sugar, cocoa, canola oil, fructose, hydrogenated oils.....oOOOH I hadn't read it closely until just now. That's just bad stuff.

Thanks for making me pay closer attention to the label.

I have the "SB Good Fats Good Carbs Guide" and it lists Slim fast meals shakes as ok for Phase 1-3 but the Slim Fats Optima Shake are banned. Atkins shakes are also list as ok. SLim Fast bars are also banned on all levels.

Maybe I'm mistaken... but if, after Phase One, you can drink Slim Fast shakes for breakfast and still lose weight, more power to you, right? I mean, this *is* supposed to be customizable, isn't it?
