Hello, I'm new to 3FC and new to the South Beach Diet. I'm on Day 5 of Phase 1....I know corn isn't allowed in Phase 1, I'm wondering if baby corn is the same thing? And also what about water chestnuts? Ketchup?

Baby corn I don't know about. I remember having water chestnuts but I can't remember if it was Phase 1 or 2. Ketchup usually has sugar added, so it's a no-go. You could substitute salsa, though! I love salsa on everything "normal" people would put ketchup on!

I would think that the baby corn is not allowed in P1. As for the ketchup, there is a sbd ketchup recipe. I can't remember if it's in the recipe board on this site or another. If you run a search I'm sure you can find it. There's also a low carb version made by heinz.
