Where does the information come from for the updated food lists? If I buy the book, am I not getting an accurate food list? Are there items added or eliminated? Sorry so many questions, I just want to get the most out of the diet.

I don't know if the book has been updated. The information in our updated food list came from the official South Beach Website. One of our chicks belonged and snuck it to us!
