My male was more out of shape when we got him (at a year and a half) than I was....He'd lay down after a block. My kid took them to an outdoor art fair and had to carry him..... now we walk an hour together.

Awwh, it sounds like he's gotten into shape! It must be harder on littler dogs at first though because they have such little legs! Imagine having to move four tiny legs that many times to get anywhere. They're beautiful!

Maggie will be 3 this year and Mr. D Jay was claimed to be about a year and a half when we adopted him a year ago. Those folks lied about a lot of things though, so we really don't know for sure about him.
