He's a very nice dog. Very obedient and behaved. Pitbulls are known to have a bad reputation and many cities have banned them because of this.
It's ridiculous and people need to understand that it does not depend on the
breed of a dog, it's how you raise them. There's no way I would give up Clyde or let alone have him sent to a dog pound unless it's reasonable and necessary. However i'm certain that it won't be the case with him. He's a spoiled attention craving brat filled with nothing but love and doggie kisses.

You're absolutely right!!! It's all in their raising. If you raise a frigging chihuahua to be mean, hateful, and to fight then it's going to be mean, hateful, and it's going to fight. Pit bulls have gotten a bad reputation due to the way people breed and fight them...it's not the dogs' fault. And I'll tell you right now, I'd rather have a pit bull around ANYDAY over a chow!!!

Couldn't agree more.. My husband and I have 2 pitbulls in which we've had for about 3 years now - and we barely get barks out of them!

Cute puppy by the way

Dogs are a product of their environment, period. That may explain why mine are big goofballs. All breeds have their own natural tendencies true, but what comes out depends on what you encourage.

Pitties get this rep because irresponsable owners want big mean intimadating dogs... they want them to be mean. Then they can't control them and the dog ends up being put down for doing something it's been taught is right. Of course it's the owner who should be put down.

Up here pittie and staffie crosses are restricted... anything that isn't a purebred has to be muzzled and leashed any time it is off the owners property. It really hasn't helped the true problem of course. It's a shame that such a beautiful, loyal breed has been mistreated like this.

My own big goofy dog is a terrier cross of some sort, his DNA profile says it's bull terrier which is not restricted. The only thing that should fear him is cats and birds... his border collie half just gives him way to much prey drive.
