I wanted a GSD and Hubby wanted a Lab so we got a mix. The more I look at her the more I realized she's mostly GSD. I regret she doesn't have the 'standing' ears.

Natural instincts are great My border collie cross rounds up his older mostly deaf "sister" when she gets going the wrong way at the off leash area even though he's never been trained at hearding.
