those doggy "DNA" tests are nothing more than a "scientific guess". I have known of purebred dogs, and dogs who's mixes were known who were tested and the results were inaccurate. None of those tests will guarantee that a dog is purebred.. some come back stating that the dog is "99% x breed".. or "x breed with no other breeds detected". They dont have all breeds available either, the cheaper tests seem to have less variety of breeds they can test for. If you have the money to blow and really want to do it, go for it. But do take it for entertainment value only, and not for an accurate answer.

We probably won't do DNA, we won't be breeding Boyd and he is perfect no matter what he is. Was just curious what everyone thought he might be, a mix of more than 2 breeds we were sure.

Boyd is very loving and gentle, but protective. He constantly has his nose to the ground and when he finds something he almost "points". Very alert of his surroundings.

And it's his birthday today! We celebrate the day he was rescued, he was found out in the country half froze and extremely emaciated.

He reminds me of a friend's dog that was a pit/rottie mix, but he looks a bit off from that so I'm guessing a third or fourth breed in there too - I'm voting for some shar pei.

No matter what breeds he may be they are both adorable and I'm glad you've found such compatible doggies.

I guess a pitt and a great dane-- the muzzle and long legs look great-dane like. He looks very sweet.

I am going to have to go with Black Mouth Cur.
They are often mistaken for Pit Bulls by people unfamiliar with the breed.
Check out the eyes!

Wow, I looked the breed up and there is quite a variety in color and face shape. I had never heard of this breed before and I don't know how a Cur would end up in North Dakota. But the descriptions of personality of the breed sound exactly like him!

Wow that face! Def. got Shar-pei in there, my guess would be Shar-Pei x Staffordshire (The Staffy because of the coat colouring)

Cute
