Hi guys. I am a little over 2 months pregnant! I am so excited but i will admit i am freaked out about gaining weight. I have lost almost 150 pounds over the last year. (i weigh 153) I'm just worried i will gain more than i should.

Yay!!! Congratulations!!! Don't freak out about gaining weight. I'm sure you'll get a lot of great advice from the pregnant women on this board about how to keep things in check.

I wouldn't be too worried- as long as you continue to eat healthy and exercise I see no reason why you'd gain too much weight. And if you do just remember if you lost it once you can lose it again!

Thanks guys. I am the healthiest i have ever been in my adult life. So you'd think that would ease my worries...i think i am still adjusting to my new body and the thought of it changing again is just a little scary. Thank you for your well wishes!

Congratulations! Is this your first baby?

Just remember that you're not eating for two. You're eating for one and a grain of rice. A the end you're eating for one and roughly 8 lbs. It only takes an extra 200-300 calories per day (no extra in the first trimester, actually) to build a baby. Just keep up your healthy eating and exercising habits and you'll be fine!
