Hi everyone! I am new to this community and my name is Milissa. I am pregnant with my 3rd child..I have 2 boys and now, surprise...one more boy on the way Im building a football team...LOL Just wanted to see if there are any other expecting moms for December? My DD is Dec 17.
Also, how are you all dealing with the weight gain? I started this pregnancy at 165 which is overweight for me. I am 173 now...which is up 8 pounds. My dr said I can only gain 10 the entire pregnancy...so I am a little nervous. I read that you can do South Beach Phase 2 and add extra milk and make sure to eat plenty of fruit and whole grains. What do you think? I wouldnt do it for weight loss...just maintenance...Any Thoughts?
Thanks Ladies!!!
Milissa

HI! I'm due Dec 20th!! You'll have to tell me how it goes. As far as weight gain, my PPW was 129 and last month it was 132. I'll weigh tomorrow at my dr's office (I base it off her scale because that's what she's using to measure my weight) But, I have a feeling I've had a big gain this last month. Im going to guess another 2-4 lbs. IN TWO WEEKS! I was doing so well with healthy eating, but last week I had fast food every day so I blew it. It really does take a toll on you, but this week, I'm back to my home made meals, and healthy snacking! Taco Bell will just have to wait!
Hi Girls!
I'm due 1/6, but I'm guessing that my baby will come in December I had lost some weight during the 1st trimester, so now, I'm just back to my starting weight. I had a lot of excess to begin with, so I'm hoping to gain less than 15-20 lbs. I don't know much about South Beach diet, but I would think that if you're eating for maintenance, including milk, fruits, whole grains, veggies, and lean meat, you'd be doing exactly what baby needs!
Hi Milissa! I'm due in December too, with my fourth. We had the two boys and our third boy was a surprise too. lol The fourth was planned and we're letting the gender be a surprise. We could have four boys. hehe.
Guamvixen.... Congrats on the little girl! We just found out this week that ours is a girl too!!!! Have you picked out names? We are naming our daughter Cadence Ann (Cady)

Congrats to YOU! Hooray! Two new beautiful girls for the world to enjoy! We picked out Emma Evangeline. I had a dream I was having a girl and that was her name in the dream. I woke up, told daddy to be, and he loved it so it stuck! What's your due date?
Just wanted to check in with our December/January Moms! How are you all doing? Any updates? As for me, I'm still feeling really emotional and sensitive. I have to keep reminding myself that it's just the pregnancy. :P Also, I'm feeling lots of baby action in the belly, and daddy to be was also recently able to start feeling her kick! Time is flying by SOOO quick, and the more I think about it, the more nervous I get. I hope you all are doing well!
I don't think milissa ever came back after she started this thread. lol!
Doing great here. I'm feeling a little depressed by how tight money has been with me not working my few shifts per pay period but it has been a better pregnancy for it. No swelling at all!
Haha, i noticed that too! Hope she is ok! I'm glad you are well. I hear ya about the financial thing. We are trying to penny pinch as much as we can so we can afford everything. It doesn't look like I will be having a baby shower. But it's ok! You are only a couple days more along than me! Please keep me posted on your progress! I know each pregnancy is super different, but I'll be rooting for you! I love feeling the baby move! It reminds me of how miraculous this whole experience really is!
I love feeling baby too! Yesterday there was so much movement I said baby must be rearranging the furniture in there. The 6 year old got a big laugh out of that.
