Default Breastfeeding and Dieting, any problems?

I want to start WW again and use the extra points they give you for breastfeeding. My appetite is out of control since I had the baby. I did not gain much when pregnant and lost all of it plus 5 pound within 1 month post part. I am 3 months pp now and have gained 7 pounds. I am worried if I restrict calories I will not produce enough/good milk.

Has anyone had any problems losing and breastfeeding? Any help is greatly appreciated.

My LO is 13 months today and I am on the tail end of breastfeeding. I know people who have succeeded in weight loss with Breastfeeding WW plan, so I say give it a shot. Your body definitely needs extra calories when Bfing so don't try any type of starvation diet and boost up the exercise routine (that's what really worked for me).

The WW plan worked for me. If you notice your milk supply starting to decrease just adjust accordingly. It won't all dry up in one day of being on WW. Good luck!

Weight loss on hold while I'm pregnant with baby #3, due June 2012.

I just posted hoping to do the same thing. How is it working out for you? I like that WW gives flexibility. Because of my height I would get nearly 40 points right now. I am not sure if I could do with less and lose weight more quickly. I haven't started yet. DH and I are planning to do it together. I would like to lose 35 and he wants to lose 15 pounds.

I did the WW program while nursing and it helped me get back down to pre preg weight. Once I stopped nursing I gained weight but it did work for the time being. Also I couldn't quite stick with WW for more then a couple of months.
