Default Ttc ?

Last year we tried to get pregnant and we were unsuccessful, granted we only tried for like 2 or 3 months lol, but the first time we got pregnant it happened the 1st time and was like pie lol.

When we tried last year I had a friend who had moved in with me. And after 1 month of living with me, my period decided it wanted to synch with her's. Like in Jan I had my period around the 20th of the month and Feb came and my period came like 18 days later (which is way early and never happens too me). I consulted my GYN and she said that was completely normal that womens bodies sometime do synch with other women you live with and/or are around a lot. So I don't know if that had my ovulation all whack as well, which maybe a reason we didn't get pregnant. I was also dieting at the time and I was at my highest weight of 260lbs.

Now I am down 50lbs from my highest weight and we are ttc again. But no luck so far, this time I'm not giving up though. Last year we decided if it hadn't happened it was time. But I'm so ready for another baby now, my oldest will 4 next year.

Did anyone else have problems ttc while dieting still? Or did you stop dieting and/or up your calories atleast? and once you lost some of the weight did you find it easier to get pregnant? Sorry I know a lot of questions. lol. But I am so ready to be pregnant and just want it to happen as fast as it did the first time, which I know was probably a fluke most women do not get pregnant on the first try lol.

Thanks for any help girls.

Not much advice, but for me, I only got successfully pregnant when I tracked my ovulation. None of the other times mattered one bit. I used clearbue easy, with the smiley face indicator. I only got a smiley face "peak" for 1 day (but you could see even on the strip itself the next day that even though there was no smiley face, there was still a slight elevation of hormone. Just doing it randomly did not help at all--a waste of time, if you want to look at it like that LOL. It took a full year, and only on the 3rd month of trying to hit a "smiley face" day did I finally get pregnant, but over a year after trying.

It's amazing how many things come up EXACTLY when you're TTC. All of a sudden, we'd have company, or we'd be so tired, or DH would have a stomachache or not in the mood. It was incredibly frustrating at times, because we technically only tried "well" 3 times out of 13 months.

I lost 7 pounds in 4 months (a lot for me), and I got pregnant at my lowest weight. Granted, I am only 3 weeks in, though!

As long as you're ovulating and have regular periods, I would say that you're in good shape.

Tracking your ovulation period is good advice. I've done that for a few years. Mainly to avoid taking the pill. This last time we were actually trying to not conceive because I was dieting and wanted to wait till I lost the weight. Turns out I ovulated early and well here I am. LOL

JahJah- I recently did start taking a prenatal vitamin again.

I've also been tracking my ovulation on my own. Not with a monitor by counting the days. Which I know is not always accurate, but I try to pin point the day and then I go back three days and forward three days and we try a few times within that week!

Maybe I will get a good b-day present next month. My next period is suppose to start on the 8th, one day after my birthday!

It took DH and I two years with help, so I don't really have any personal advice per se. I do know my sister got pregnant the first month trying with her first and it took them a little over 6 months to conceive their second. So you just never know.

Good luck!
