Congrats to all expecting mommy's ....can't wait for my turn I am sooo scared of getting pregnant at this weight (even at 50-100 lbs light) and not being able to fit behind the steering wheel!!! DH keeps telling me I'm crazy for even stressing out about that right now lol

Hi Nikki,
Got pregnant at 240 lbs., gained only 32 lbs., I've heard worse, had gestational diabetes, but didn't have to take insulin shots for it. I controlled it with diet. I also had some problems with my BP, but I felt great during my pregnancy and if the doctor hadn't of told me about the diabetes and my BP I would have never known. I even had to have a C-section (which was alot easier then the 14 hours of pushing I did before hand), but all in all like I said, I felt great while pregnant and raising my awesome son has been the greatest highlight of my life for the last 13+ years.
Just relax, enjoy the wonderful the life that's growing inside you and get ready for the most powerful feeling of LOVE you will ever feel.

You've probably already got tons of great advice but having been through this with both of my pregnancies I thought I'd share
With my first the doctors were just expecting me to get gestational diabetes because I was around 290 (5'10") but I never did... that was kind of annoying. I ended up eating so much better with my 2nd that I lost weight.
My words of wisdom... it is very common to feel fatigued constantly throughout the 1st trimester. Appetite usually spikes around the 2nd but as the baby gets bigger in the 3rd, your appetite goes way down.
I delivered 2 very healthy babies & found that staying active during pregnancy made for a smoother labor.
Best of luck to you & just remember that you are not the first big girl your doctor has seen and you wont be the last so don't be embarrassed.
