ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I have not been formally diagnosed with PCOS. My gynecologist says I probably have it, but the treatment is weight loss and birth control pills. I cannot tell you how depressing it is to go to the Dr. and have them blame everything (migraines, TMJ, anxiety, etc...) on my weight. If I'm not depressed when I go into the Drs - I am when I come out.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I am determined to lose 50 pounds.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU ?

Yes in 2005 I was doing WW at home and lost 25 pounds. In June of that year I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma a rare form of Cancer that affects ur Bone Marrow. It is uncurable but very treatable . God has been very good to me I have no Tumors or Leisions and so far I am only on vitamins. Here is a link to this Disease:

http://myeloma.org/main.jsp?menu_id=...ARTICLE&id=601
I fell off the wagon and over-ate for almost two years. I joined WW last week and need to lose 50 pounds.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Actually losing the weight LOL, no really Staying motivated and on plan.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: WELL I went to the doctors today and he's reading my chart and see's PCOS in there. I am SO VERY in denial. I told him no I dont have PCOS, he read off the symptoms and I have them all I just DONT want to have PCOS. SO I guess THIS time I will stay on my meds, it should help, thats what I will do different.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW about: Well we are TTC and I hope it can work this time. Last time I was on 1900 mg Glucophage daily and we tried Clomid three times to ZERO effect in fact the nurse asked if I was ACTUALLY taking the clomid. I want another baby so bad I couldnt believe she would say something like that but then this is the same nurse who told me my fertility results were "pathetic"

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: To be honest, all of it.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I have finally realised that women with PCOS really can lose weight.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?

I was 21 when I was diagnosed with PCOS and it felt like the end of my life. I thought I had tricked my husband into marrying me (we didn't find out til after we were married). I was blessed with the conception of my son, who was born premature as I developed preeclampsia (I was later told this had something to do with PCOS, I also have OCD which again has been connected with the ovaries) we have not been blessed naturally so my husband and I are now looking into adoption.
I was told by so many doctors, specialists that women with PCOS would never be able to get to a healthy weight so I never bothered trying, now it's different I am trying hard and know I will do it.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Losing the weight. I have tried so many different things only to see a few pounds go and then everything come back. I get so discouraged that I just give in. I guess "Sticking-with-it-ness" is a problem.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I am honestly afraid that if I don't do it this time, I will die before my kids grow up. My health has gone so downhill in the last few years and I am already having a hard time walking - I refuse to let this thing get me!

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW about: I've actually had the diagnosis of PCOS for 6 years and I'm just now starting to actually deal with it. When I was diagnosed, DH and I were ttc and the only thing on my mind was, "OK, I have this thing, now how do I overcome it and get pregnant?". With Chlomid and Met I was able to conceive my first son after 2 years of trying. After Liam was born and I was feeling up to it, we started my Met again, and lo-and-behold, 3 weeks later I got pregnant again. I am a HUGE believer in Met for PCOS and ttc!

Other than that, I am pretty much an open book - I love talking to people and if you like to chat, I'd love a WL buddy! If you want to know more, just ask - you'll get the answer!

More about me: Well, I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 15. I was given birth control pills at that time to regulate my period and it worked. But as I got older and my life got more complicated I didn't always have the insurance nor the money to stay on birth control. I haven't had my period in 4 yrs now. I am way over weight and there are other things about PCOS that drive me nuts. Most of which I have always wanted to be a mother and I just don't see that happening now. I'm getting up there in age and I don't want to start a family after I'm 40.
