WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Motivation, sugar addiction (I would so rather a cookie or chocolate over a salad).

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I need more energy and can't stand pictures of myself as I am. I am moving into middle aged, and hate the thought of gaining more weight with menopause.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I have been on Metformin for 7 years, and did lose weight, but then got pregnant with my last (a wonderful surprise). Stayed on Metformin for entire pregnancy, with no complications and NO pregnancy induced diabetes (had it with the other two pregnancies). Need to exercise, and take better care of me, always a challenge! I HATE seafood.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Staying on track. I tend to let life get in the way. Its hard to be a working mom with a large country home and yard to care for while dieting and exercising and working full time.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: My DH is only 32 and had a heart attack this weekend. We will all make the change this time....our daughter needs parents.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I have PCOS, Endometriosis, and a tilted uterus. I have dealt with my fair share of failed fertilty treatments. We have had our share of hard times (between DH and DD we've had 4 surgeries, a heart attack, physical therapy and cardiac rehab all in the last 3 months) and I've decided what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger.

MARITAL STATUS: Been in a relationship for 6 years. Technically engaged without a ring, haha.

SPOUSE’S NAME: Alex.

CHILDREN/AGES: None.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS: Drawing, music, video games, archery, hiking, cooking, eating weird foods, horseback riding, mythology, psychology, zoology, cryptozoology, paranormal things, movies, philosophy, different cultures, technology, reading, bike riding, airsoft, swimming, ect.

PETS: Cali (cat) and Addy (dog).

TOP WEIGHT: 210

CURRENT WEIGHT: 199

GOAL WEIGHT: 170-160. It all depends on how I look when I manage to get to the weight. If I think I look good at 170 and I'm feeling healthy, then I'm good with just maintaining.

HEIGHT: 5'8".

EYE COLOR: Deep blue.

HAIR COLOR: Dark brown.

OCCUPATION: College student, majoring in Illustration.

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Green Bay, Wisconsin.

E-MAIL ADDRESS: If you ask me, I'm sure I'd love to give it to you.

HOMEPAGE URL: I don't really have anything save for my DA page and my Facebook.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Motivation...or lack of. I get so easily discouraged, especially when I was trying to lose weight before I was put on any pills to counteract the insulin problem with PCOS.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: As stated above, I was diagnosed with PCOS and put on Metformin. I can actually see the weight going off (slowly) when I exercise and eat right. Before, I never seen any changes what so ever.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I can't even say that I've been struggling with weight all of my life. Growing up, I was a pretty skinny, active kid. It wasn't until somewhere around the middle/end of high school that I started having a **** ton of weight gain and little to do to get rid of it. I've never really HAD to try to lose weight before, so this really is a new experience.

I'd really like to get to the point where I can look at myself in the mirror and not just feel completely disgusted. I don't even care about weight. As long as I'm healthy and happy with myself, that's all that matters to me.

EYE COLOR: Blue

HAIR COLOR: Strawberry blonde roots, crazy shades of red everywhere else.

OCCUPATION: Student

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS:I try. And I wake up earlier, and I try even harder. I take cardio classes at the community college, but I never seem to lose even a pound. FML! It's so hard!

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: My husband to be is very supportive, and he's planning on losing weight too. Hopefully, we'll be thinner, and both will look amazing on our wedding day.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?

I come from a family of bigger women, and that just means one thing: bigger hearts. We love bigger, laugh harder, are better to cuddle with because we're not all boney But even though I've grown up with big being acceptable, I don't want it. My mom is diabetic, and does nothing but sit on the computer. She's needed emergency medical services, had more than one diabetic complication, and I don't want to be that way when I am older. She used to walk with me, but now she never wants to.

It is okay to be big. But it is also okay to make your own decisions. I've decided I want to be healthy, so I can take care of my family for as long as I possibly can.

HAIR COLOR: Medium brown

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Ontario, Canada

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Sticking to plans long term. Eventually I start really missing some foods and tell myself that Its okay to be overweight even though I don't feel that way, then end up falling off plan and go back to where I started.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: This time I know not to get discouraged when I loose 50 pounds and still can't shop at normal stores to buy clothes because of my size. And I know to increase my exercise when I get down to around 200.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?: I have been large my whole life, I was already over 200 pounds in high school and have lived a life of dieting/gaining all the weight plus more back. This caused a variety of health issues for me, including PCOS due to my weight. Also my family has a history of diabetes so I may be at risk one day

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: PCOS is my biggest problem!! Second biggest problem would be losing some weight and then deciding that it's all downhill and I can relax. That's when the weight comes back with a vengeance.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: The diagnosis of PCOS. I've had symptoms my whole life, but didn't receive a diagnosis until age 27. Now that I know what I'm up against, I know how to fight it more effectively. I'm South Beaching it, and I'm taking 1000mg of Cinnamon daily to help my body process carbs effectively. At this point I'll do anything to protect my fertility and help treat the disease, but I'd rather not jump to Metformin or other drugs like that until I exhaust all other options first.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
It was such a relief to get this diagnosis, but it also made me angry because I knew it meant losing weight was going to be even more of an uphill battle. But I'm determined to do something about this, before I develop full blown diabetes.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Eating Breakfast. eating the right amount of food each day. Sometimes I'll eat only once a day. Feeling good enough to exercise. I have PCOS plus arthritis / tendinitis / tendinitis / SLAP tear in right shoulder and Plantar faciitis in both feet. I wake up tired, stiff, swollen and hurting daily.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I am finally going to go see a endocrinologist who specializes in PCOS. I have been put on YAZ which seems to be helping A LOT. I didn't respond to the metformin but I use cinnamon when ever I can and never add extra sugar or salt. I have finally really seen myself for the first time in years. I'm tired of not feeling like myself, and not looking like my self!

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: PCOS is my biggest problem with losing weight. I am not obese but a bit overweight for my height. Most of my weight is in my belly and although has shrunk a little, doesn't want to go away.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I am totally committed.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?

It has been a struggle accepting that I have PCOS. Feeling down with all the side effects like belly fat, thinning hair, fertility issues, etc... But I am who I am. Now being committed to better myself through diet and exercise I already feel better. Knowing there are others out there like me helps tremendously as well. Help from other cysters who have PCOS but are on the smaller side would be great. Help from all is totally accepted and appreciated.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: PCOS (which I was just diagnosed with a couple months ago), depression/anxiety, and failure to follow through and giving up.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I'm trying to keep my family and friends close and in the loop about what's going on with me so I don't fall into a deep depression. I understand this is a lifestyle change, not a diet, or it's not going to last. I don't want to be sick and tired all the time anymore.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I'm only 31 and have already had to fight off parotid (salivary) and thyroid cancer when I was 22. After feeling like so many doctors never listened to me or got things wrong over the last few years, I had a long list of things wrong with me (diagnoses like high blood pressure, high bad cholesterol, acid reflux, more), additional symptoms (like hair loss, fatigue, fogginess), medications, and zero answers. I'd known something was wrong for a couple years and I felt like everything was connected. I'd asked for tests like a sleep study and to have my calcium checked for my parathyroid to try to find out why I am so tired all the time and why I can't focus. I found an article on msn a few months ago about symptoms that might be nothing or could be something serious. And one of the symptoms was coarse hairs on your face that weren't there before and that's when I discovered PCOS. And I finally found someone who would listen. I haven't been put on any meds for the PCOS, yet. We've been working on more of a lifestyle change and I've lost 50 pounds so far even though I was put on hormones (with the side effect of weight gain) to treat my complex endometrial hyperplasia that was found in my initial exam. I still would like to have a baby so no hysterectomy for me, yet! And I'm currently undergoing another thyroid cancer scan (5 days into 3 weeks of a special low-iodine diet, which is like ****, with injections, radioactive pill, and scan to top it off). Fun stuff. Had to take a break from working with my dietitian on the PCOS because of all the stress I've been under. But I haven't gained weight since being on the hormone therapy and have actually lost about 10 pounds. I'm not giving up, but some days it just feels so hard to keep going and plus I'm feeling uber-emotional as another side effect of the hormone therapy. So I burst into tears a lot. After my thyroid scan, I'll have to have a biopsy of my uterus again to see if the hormones are reversing the hyperplasia. This is already a hard time of year and all this medical stuff really gets to me and I don't have a significant other to hold me up when I can't do it myself. But I keep going.
