We need an April thread, but I'll answer the question asked about my diet:
I am eating Paleo -- no bread/wheat/rice/potatoes/sugar. Alcohol is only wine or clear liquors. I don't drink beer, so I don't miss it/want it/have to eliminate it. No fruit juices!
My typical day is a mixture of fruits and proteins. I'm not eating nuts, as I've noticed when I eat nuts, I stall on my weight loss. Weird, right? Not sure what is happening there.
Breakfast - apple, hummus, bacon (or hard salami, for example), carrots, celery
Lunch - chicken, beef, etc. and a vegetable (leafy greens or green beans -- green stuff)
Dinner - similar to lunch or I can do a chili (meats, beans, tomato sauce, spices) or a soup
Beans are generally not a Paleo friendly food, but I find that I can eat small amounts of it. Hummus (chickpeas) sit better with me than black or red beans.
I'm eating about 1500 calories, around 115 g of carbs, and the rest is protein/fat.
I don't drink alcohol during the week. And no snacking between meals, unless I'm really hungry because lunch was a failure...
My fruits generally stay in the low-GI category -- no bananas, mangoes, pineapples. Instead, it's berries, apples.
