Default Article makes me mad!

I just saw this article on Yahoo!
shine.yahoo.com/healthy-living/doctors-nicer-thin-patients-135100628.htm

It makes me mad, not because doctors treat people differently, that much is duh!! but because it assumes it is easy for people to lose weight if they are overweight. The comments are worse because it breeds into the stereotype that if you are overweight you are lazy and don't try hard enough!!!

None of these people have heard of PCOS, I guess!!!

I couldn't get to the article, but I hate reading people's comments after articles. It's amazing how hateful people can be on the internet...no matter how innocent the article may be.

Hope you are doing well IrishDMBF!

Doing a little better thanks for asking
I am probably down about 6-7lbs in the last month. Although progress is painfully slow, I know I am not exercising as much as I should.
However if I eat any sort of carbs whatsoever I know I will be up at least a couple of pounds the next day and it will take me the best part of a week to get back to where I was.
I have stopped taking the Qsymia because I can't keep up with the $150 a month it cost. My endo has just prescribed regular phentermine so I will be starting on that in the next day or 2.

Congrats on the 6 or 7lbs! That's great!

Yes, I should be exercising more too. I find I go in spurts. Kids, colds, weather...I'm definitely inconsistant getting out!

Did you notice a big change in your appetite with the Qsymia? $150--EEK!

Have a great day!

Congrats on the weight loss!!!!
I'm glad I have really nice doctors, but I have changed my gyno twice before finding out I had PCOS because both made it seem like the weight gain was my fault and if I changed my eating habits it would disappear. One was even dismissive when I told her I thought I had PCOS (my mother has it so I knew the symptoms). It really is annoying when those trained to help you dismisses your concerns instead
