Default Going backwards

Well I've had to cut back on my exercise as I have totally b*gger*d up my knee. Sticking to calorie intake but in past ten days have put on 3 lbs in weight.

Still taking metformin but guess I am not one of the people who benefit from weight loss on it.

Feel like I'm letting myself down. Really unhappy tonight.

I'm sorry to hear it.

How many calories are you consuming? What's your % of fats/protein/carbs?

Sorry you're dealing with a knee injury - Hope you're feeling better soon! I know how you feel about it .. I'm recovering from an injury to my patella tendon in my right knee as well.

Just out of curiousity ..

How many calories are you getting?

I know that you're limited on workouts, but have you been able to get anything in?

You mentioned Met .. what dosage are you taking and how long have you been taking it?

Again, hope you're feeling better soon!!

Sorry to hear that you have a knee injury.
Think about swimming after recovered.
It put much less pressure on your knee.

Are you drinking enough water? Those three pounds could just be water.

I didn't even know metformin supposedly helped some people lose weight until I read it on these boards. I was put on it three weeks ago. After the first week they halved my dose because I was sick to my stomach every night. Then I was fine for a few days, then I started getting sick again to my stomach---always in the middle of the night. Not as bad as the first week, but still quite annoying. I just halved my dose again and seem mostly ok, but I go back to the doc on Friday so we'll figure it out then. I will probably be taken off of it.

DON'T beat yourself up over three pounds and bum knee. Don't jump the gun and hurt your knee again either--make sure it's in ship shape before you start working it. I like the swimming suggestion, if you have access to a place to swim. It'll get better, don't you worry.
