I found at 65-75% fat, I no longer have problems with hunger/cravings and constipation.

Previously I was only low carb and lost well for a while then stalled even while keeping calories low and carbs at or below target... upping the fat to this level got me back on track.
I read somewhere that Atkins menus had roughly this fat percentage, although he never stated it as a goal.

Hi everyone Just have to share my success so far, since I've struggled with being overweight pretty much forever. I started in July and in less than six months am down over 60 pounds, doing low carb, high fat. I am doing medifast, I'm not sure if you've heard of it, but it has so far been a life changer. It is a bit pricey, but when I measured out how much I was spending on groceries/restaurants/fast food, it almost equaled the same amount. If you can't afford it, then I just highly recommend the low carb/high fat in general, it has helped kick the PCOS's butt as far as I'm concerned!!

I am sorry I missed this, ghlover! If you google the program you'll see the website, but it's a low carb program. You eat 5 medifast meals a day, then you are responsible for 1 lean meat and 3 servings of vegetables. Once upon a time it was by prescription only, but they've modified it and made it available for everyone They have a really great community site, mymedifast, where you can look at the success stories and pictures, and see what people think of it. I was hesitant about it until I saw the people who lost 100+ pounds.

I've been on it 6 months, and I can't say enough about it. It's the easiest, greatest thing I've ever done for myself. However, I think low carb is just the way to go in general, especially for those of us with these lovely disorders
