Newbie in AZ!

Just wanted to give a shout out to everyone and say "Hello." I've been lurking around the site and finally registered.

So interesting that I found this particular forum - I wish I had known about PCOS in my 20's and 30's. That would explain A LOT of things!

Now that I'm in my 50's and in peri-menopause, it's ironic that my cycle has somewhat stablized (pretty much every 30 days). My last hormone tests with my ob-gyn still shows I have elevated levels of testosterone.

In my younger years, I would sometimes go 6 months without mentruating and always had problems with my weight. And now I have the added problems of menopausal weight gain - yikes!

Looking forward to some good exchanges! Anyone in AZ?

I don't live in AZ but my brother lives near you in peoria! I almost moved to mesa a few years ago. You will find LOTS of great support here, I can't wait to get to know you better!

I'm in AZ, enjoying the lovely monsoon weather! Ahhhh, there's nothing like 100+ degree days with high humidity!

That's interesting that you are in perimenopause. I was just joking to DH the other day that us going through my menopause time when we get there is going to be a hoot!

Ah, where are you located? We got another 'haboob' yesterday but it was mostly in the NW valley.

I'm in south Scottsdale. And yeah, we had a little dust out here but nothing compared to the NW valley!
