I don't have any advice to give. I'm just glad to know I don't suffer alone.

I'm Black and I have dark thick hair for sideburns and beard that are really bad. I pluck the beard and shave the sideburns when they get to the point where I cant't stand them, which is usually two weeks past when I should probably have shaved them. Sometimes I just get so tired of having to do it that I just let it go.

The mustache (sp?) isn't so bad; there are only two or three coarse hairs there that I worry about.

I also have hair on my chest. It started out as a couple of stray fine hairs. Then I made the mistake of shaving those off. More came back and they were darker but not coarse. Now I just leave those alone .

Can't afford laser yet but will probably give that a shot when the budget allows.

My endo wrote me a rx for Vaniqa (sp?). I got it but haven't tried it yet. Maybe I'll start tomorrow since I just plucked on Sunday and the chin is clear.

I got laser hair removal on my face sides and jawline. It feels like someone lightly flicking you. Kinda annoying but not painful. Looks like a sunburn after...and you need to stay out of strong sun after. It was something like $80 a session every 6 weeks.
It won't get all hairs, cause the laser can't "see" the blonde/light hairs.
I think I want the Epilady too, to just take off the blonde strays.

This has helped alot.
Again i can't say enough how refreshing it is to know that I do not suffer alone.
I shave my chin and jawline and under everyday
it's so embarrassing and so few people know that I do it becuase I'm ashamed to tell them. I can't wait to be able to factor in permanent hair removal! It's one of my goals... once I reach my certain goal weight, that is my reward I have set

They are also called Pepitas in Spanish. Mexican stores sell them also.
The seeds give you a lot of energy also.

At first she had to shave every other day, then every 3rd day.
Now after a couple of years she is down to shaving only once a week. Not a cure, but a huge difference.
And she feels a lot better. She was able to do a lot more exercize...and she lost weight fast.

She goes out dancing almost every night now for exercize. Has a great figure and gets a lot of dates. Lucky her!

If you search for 'pumpkin seeds PICOS', you will find a lot of articles on how well they work.

This is really interesting. I just bought organic spearmint because of the many positive reviews I've heard about its affects on hirsutism (at least the kind from PCOS), and I'll be using that for my chin hair problem. I'll have to check pumpkin seeds out. I have to shave every morning and sometimes it causes me serious emotional distress, so I'm hoping the spearmint I just got today will help.

I bought an epilator a couple years ago after tweezing my chin because it's a damn chore and holding my neck in a particular way for such a long period of time was causing me to have TMJ flareups. However, it ended up just giving me ingrown hairs so I went back to shaving, but I don't like the results.

After a lot of reading, it looks like the best way to get rid of unwanted hair in this situation is electrolysis. So if the facial hair doesn't go away after I get my weight in control, I'm getting that **** soooo fast, lol.

I've always heard that shaving makes the hair grow back in faster and darker. Is this true? I've started developing noticable hairs on my upper lip, and am concerned about the shaving/waxing techniques.
I've started up BCP again, so maybe I should just wait for that to kick in and hope no one notices in the mean time.
