How are you?
Recovering from a bad cold and still trying to figure out how to best help my mom with my dad's eldercare needs.
What are you working on?
Getting well enough to get back to excercise!
Changing meds/diet around after lab results -- I go back for 2nd round of bloodwork. I have elevated liver enzymes and they want me to come back for another blood lab before my endoc appt. So who knows what it will be. (??)
How was last month?
Awful -- dad drama took over. It has been exhausting!
How's your PCOS management going?
Going in to see endoc...
A.

How are you?Fine Thanks! Feeling motivated to take better care of myself! So I've just joined this group and I am looking fwd to getting to know you all.
What are you working on?Just working on losing the extra 15lbs I gained the past MONTH!
How was last month? Self Destructive! Mindless emotional eating and generally not being very nice to myself, hence the 15lb gain!
How's your PCOS management going? Have restarted on the glucophage (850 mg x3) dilligently and have begun taking Spironolactone.
Hoping to turn things around and as a result, I hope to make peace with myself!

Thanks Ems! How do u manage to quiet that self-sabotaging voice that encourages you to eat loads of chocolate, chips by the bag and to skip the gym?

How are you?
Tired. I think I'm fighting off another cold. Lots on my plate right now. I haven't had a chance to check in here for a while because I've been so busy....
What are you working on?
Right now, getting back to plan and exercise. Thankfully some of my healthy habits are ingrained now so, even being off plan doesn't mean I was entirely off plan. I still stuck with what I know that works even if I indulged.
But, back to the grindstone, since I do have another endoc appointment next week.
How was last month?
It had some good points, but it was generally horrible, with lots of sickness and travel problems and house problems. The month was just generally horrible. I know people had it worse than I did, so I can't wallow in too much self-pity, but I was definitely looking forward to MAY.... YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How's your PCOS management going?
Good. I've been taking my supplements, exercising as much as I can, eating as well (minus those indulgences) and I should be getting my period in the next few days.

I am nervous, ladies. I finally talked to my doctor about suspecting I may have PCOS. I went to the doctor because I've been having spontaneous bruising on my lower legs for the last few months. She thinks it may be caused by the thyroid, and when she asked if I was on birth control, that opened the conversation up for my concerns. I will get my blood work results Monday when I am also having my first pelvic exam, which I am terribly uncomfortable just thinking about. She also mentioned an ultra sound to see what's going on with my ovaries.
I'm glad to be getting some answers, but I'm scared of what those answers may be. I guess I just needed to talk about it a little and this seemed like a good place, so thanks for reading!
-Update- I got a call from the clinic saying that my blood results are in and my thyroid and blood sugar are fine. So now my bruising is more of a mystery. I'll learn more at my appointment on Monday.

Hi ladies!
I'm finally sleeping at home, after so many things happening in the last few weeks (travel, broken fridge, etc.) and I can finally weigh myself in my scale.
My scale read: 164.2!
Woohoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Despite the traveling and lack of fridge, I haven't gained weight!!!!!!!!!!!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, for you all that have been following my story, I know it seems like maybe I'm getting overly excited because I tend to eat healthy and exercise lots.... but this PCOS thing is a b*tch and I get super excited when I actually lose weight!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a victim of PCOS and endometriosis, I am also new to this Site. I have been exercising and taking supplements that have and a amazing return . I am losing a consistent 2.5 to 4 lbs a week. I was on Metformin for a while for the PCOS but that really didn't help. I had my tubes tied in 04 and gaine a ton of weight after that, all teh doctors told me that it was all in my head.
