Question metaformin and pregnancy

I need some advice. I was recently pregnant and lost the baby at 11 weeks. My doctors say it was a "blighted ovum". My questions is could i have lost the baby because they had me stop my metaformin?

I am currently taking 850mg twice a day is that considered a high dose?

Is it safe to countinue taking metaformin when pregnant?

Default

1700mg a day is not high. Its in the normal dosage range.

As for BO, I highly doubt it had anything to do with the met. BO's just happen from time to time. Its not really caused by anything except nature unfortunately. Sorry for your loss. Many prayers!
