Have any of you girls had full term pregnancies that would care to share their experiences?

Like what?

???

lol, oh geeze. Can I blame my ramble on lack of sleep?? Sorry girls.

Anyway, I guess what I was really trying to ask is: What do you know now, that you wish you would have known in the beginning?

In general, it could be about PCOS, TTC, fertility (or lack of). Just what do you wish someone would have told you before?

That I could stay on Metformin through the pregnancy -- my doc wasn't into that, but I read other studies later that showed you could and talked to online ladies who did.

That I would need a postpartum wardrobe. Everyone was going on about the pregnancy wardrobe, and I didn't realize my shape after birth would be so different. Once I got there, I was like "Duh. Bigger nursing breasts! So much for the tops!" and though baby was out, my ab tone was shot. So much for bottoms! And my feet permanently got bigger. Bye shoes!

I didn't read about belly banding til later. So I would probably learn more about that if I were doing it again. You seem to bounce back better if you do.

HTH!

Sorry, typo.

Just google "belly binding" and you find lots on it.

You can do it with long fabric or go with a more modern support. Here's one blogger writing about it

Anyhoo... got a workout. I'm a little worried about the AN on my ankle. It seems darker. Ngh.

Hey everyone! Had a wosh of weight loss this morning! Wohooo! Feeling like I can finally get this weight off me! Feeling confident, and during most diets I have been starving and frustrated. So I'm so glad that I'm still losing pretty good numbers!

SassyChick: Glad the blood sugar is going well!

PinkHoodie: Whoosh away

I'm fine -- on track for food log, catching it up on the workouts. Been at it 10 weeks, 10 lbs down. So my 1 lb per week average still holds even though I took a mini break while MIL was sick in hospital.

I'm feeling very mellow and calm, which is good. Been stressed recently so I welcome the peace.

See you all tomorrow!

A.

Good Afternoon Ladies!!!

GUESS WHAT???!!!! I WALKED 2 MILES IN MY W.A.T.P!!!! Dunno if I can do it EVERYDAY, YET, but I aim to try for twice a week to start out!!! But man if I can walk 2 miles a day at least 5 days a week (once I get built up too it) that would be 12 miles a week with walking 1 mile each on the other 2 days. I think that my dr would like that! HA! lol.

Well we took DH to the dentist on Thursday, he has an abscessed tooth. So the dentist gave him Amoxicillin and some Ibuprofen. He has an appt next week with an Oral Surgeon to get the tooth extracted. The dentist didn't want to pull it since it was so infected and also DH's other teeth are not in good shape, he has a tooth disease that makes his teeth extra brittle.

Hi to everybody! I hope your all well!

Hello,
I am a new member. I am starting on a weight loss journey again. Going to try low-GI/superfoods.
I have been on Metformin for 7+ years. I have three children 14, 12, and 4.
Can anyone tell me how to add the weight-loss tickers to my posts?

Sassychick: WTG on 2 miles! Hope DH's teeth thing goes well.

meximama: Welcome! Here is how:

1) Click on "User CP" on the menu bar up near the top left.

2) Once there click on "Edit Signature" near the top left.

3) Follow the directions for adding the weight tracker to your signatre.

I'm doing so-so today. Getting a bit blue, headache -- all the stuff that comes for me as I approach mid-cycle.

Ah, well!

A.

Hey guys I joined a group on FB and after a few emails from girls I just decided to make my own PCOS blog- no pressure to read it- just would love any feedback and if there are topics you think I should discuss or great articles you think would be good for my helpful links please let me know!

I was so sad reading on the FB group about people who had given up and were so depressed- I really wanted to help them- specially when it seems so many people with PCOS have clueless doctors I didn't get a referral to an endocrinologist till my FOURTH doctor! How sad is that?

Good Afternoon Girls!

Well today I did my 1 mile to W.A.T.P. My legs were just too tired to do 2 today. So I am thinking tomorrow on working on Upper Body to give my legs a rest.

I WI today and was 1.6 pounds less. At least its not another gain like last time! DH WI and he has lost 12 POUNDS!!! But with his tooth and all he hasn't been eating that much. BUT DAMN! I know men lose weight faster than women but WOW!!!! I just feel like a snail. I know that is part of our disease and plus being a diabetic, thats a double whammy. But I dunno I just thought it would come off faster.... Oh well a loss is a loss and I shouldn't complain.

meximama!!!

astrophe -- Thanks.

beerab -- Its tough esp on women who have tried for many many years. I know I was one of those women. It really gets you down into a place where you think nobody can reach you. Luckily someone did reach me and not only gave me a helping hand out, but gave me the kick in the butt I needed as well! I too have been to several drs and even if you get to a specialist, they all are not the same. So I say what my mil said to me, "Hire and fire a dr just like you do a plumber." If your not satisfied then look into other drs. It took me many years to find the dr I have now. Many women think once they get to a specialist they are stuck with them, which they are not. This is a very personal, private thing to deal with, with the right dr, you can be successful. But it is very easy to slip down if you get a rotten dr or just many negative people around. Good for you for creating your own blog! I'll check it out.

Big to everybody out there who needs them right now!!!

Thanks sassy- I think that's a great topic too. Even I didn't think to change doctors at first for the longest. The doctor I had before this one I'd say was the WORST! I'll add a post on that sooner or later. I'm trying to have at least a month's worth on different topics that are helpful. I always wished I had someone to tell me the things that I learned over the years.

Yeah I had a VERY BAD dr who kinda scarred me for a LONG time. I didn't want to go to another dr because of her. Luckily I had my friend who gave me the helping hand out of my deep depression give me a boost in that area as well. I'm so glad I found the dr I have now. I only have met with him once, but I have a good feeling about him. He wasn't rude to me but was direct. Thats all I ask for. You do not have to be rude and nasty to get your point across and SO many specialists do that. Esp with our disease. They just want to tell us, "LOSE WEIGHT and everything will be just fine" well its more complicated than that or women who are thin would not have this disease! Getting the right dr is so important. I know with insurance and everything we can be limited, but if your not getting treated properly, then its not worth your time or money!
