Default Pagan chick chat - April 2007

Hello everyone!

Hope all is going well from everyone as we enter the spring season.

There is no snow left in my backyard and it will be raining most of the week which will wash away the leftover dirt and grime.

If it's nice out next weekend I plan to start working on the yard to tidy up and get ready for planting.

I'm also revamping my weight loss plan this month - can't wait for all the veggies to come out in the local markets. I'm looking forward to having asparagus and fiddleheads - yum!

Nature played a cruel April fools joke this morning, we woke up to snow! Thank goodness it's all melted by this evening! It's been raining since Tuesday, which is kind of a bummer because it was so warm and gorgeous on Monday. There seems to be no end to the rain, I'm getting a bit impatient I was really hoping to have the bikes out by this weekend! Oh well, everything will be really green soon

Ugh! We are expecting snow this weekend.

This week has gone pretty well food wise and I got some extra exercise by walking to work.

I think I am going to dust off my pilates dvd's since I am taking a break from dance class.

Hi All!

I joined Weight Watchers approx. 2 weeks ago and so far have lost 2.5 pounds. A good start I am thinking. Now to work on getting that exercise in. I have those Leslie Sansone walking DVD's that I haven't even opened. Maybe I should, huh? LOl...

We are expecting 80 degree weather starting tomorrow. I don't know, I think it's going to have to work hard to burn off the cloud cover before we can get temps that high.

Allison, I'm on ww too! I really enjoy the program. I just need to work on the exercise part of it! I have started walking to and from work and am planning on going back to yoga next week with my DH.

GFY Mauvaisroux! I have joined a gym (have yet to go -I have a nasty cold right now) that has Yoga. I am looking forward to trying that. I am in definite need of more flexibility.

I can't walk to work but I do carpool about 75% of the time. Doing my part in some small way, lol.

I have a bike at the house, maybe I could give it a cleaning and see how it goes?

Getting on that bike is a great idea, I had one but it just became a convenient place to hand laundry!

Well, we got a bit of snow this morning so no gardening today. I will sweep off the front porch and walkway at the very least.

Other then not much change in my weight, I think things are going okay. They'd be better if I could get a job. So far my spells haven't worked much, but then again I think it's my esteem problems causing the disruptions. I have little to no self-esteem in anything I do. I have a lot of self doubt and self loathing. Well not loathing, but you know what I mean. I'm not happy with myself. But I'm hoping this weekend will change that. I'm going to take and get attuned for my Reiki II class. I think I need it badly, since Reiki II is more of an emotional healing rather than a physical like Reiki I was. That class did help but I think this one will help more. I'll let you all know after I take it. Probably post Monday, since the class is Sunday night.

Blessedbe - hang in there and take care of yourself Perhaps your Reiki class will have a positive effect for you.

Nothing much going on here except yucky weather. It was cold, wet and miserable all day so I kept drinking strong tea with lots of milk and sugar - my idea of comfort

I need to ramp up my weightloss efforts since I have been losing and finding the same 2 lbs for the last 3 weeks.

So have I! I swear I've been struggling with the same three pound range for weeks. It's so weird. Although yesterday I weighed myself in the afternoon when I got up, but today I got up earlier so that might have something to do with it. And now I need foooooodddd... Breakfast for me!

I went on a fruit and veg shopping spree this morning so I am set up for a week's worth of healthy meals and snacks - no excuses this week!

This down 2lbs up 2 lbs is driving me mad!

Well it's been lovely weather the past week or so and I've managed to walk to and from work for several days so my exercise has been increasing -

I almost bought some plants this weekend but its supposed to cool down a bit so I may wait another week or two.

DH is doing some guy stuff on Saturday so I am going to get a pedicure - nice treat so's I can wear sandals!

Hope all of you are doing well.
