I am 48 years old and I am mom to 10 living children. My last child was stillborn over 4 years ago. I have been overweight most of my adult life, but after losing my daughter I got to my all time high! I now feel like it is time to take care of me and my health!

In the past I have done WW and South Beach Diet and a few others. I was somewhat successful but that was between pregnancies.

If you have any recommendations or suggestions I would love to hear them! Thanks!
Welcome! I really enjoy WS. I've done so many diets in my life but this one seems to be the easiest for me. I think I'm a little unusual in that I never had the shakes or the dizzies or the craves. Whatever the food is made with is really agreeing with me. I started Jan 4 and I'm down 19 lbs.

Suggestions--I like most of the food on it's own, but I dress them up with some Walden Farms products, salsa and FF sour cream. Personally, I leave off the fruit and starch except a slice of diet bread with the omelet. I believe I have a food addiction and I'm an emotional eater so I'm leery about adding much more to the food at this point. I just don't feel ready or comfortable with it. I also log everything into myfitnesspal. Some folks log with Loseit. But I think logging what you eat somewhere really helps.

This is a great place to come for suggestions and support. Good luck!!

I weighed in this morning down .2. It's tough to have lost only 2/10 of a pound two weeks in a row, but at least the scale is not going up.

I am going to try a couple different things this week, see if I can get this weight loss moving again.

Well as you all know for a couple weeks I have been struggling. I decided this am to weigh myself and expected to be very disappointed in the number. But I was very surprised I am at 256.2....I almost was at 255--.3 lbs. Which is a 2# weight gain but considering how off track that I was and it being a Monday (always more salt on the weekend).......I am very happy with it and I think it gave me the motivated I needed to get back on track.....

January was a 11 lb lose month-wow.....

Irish51- Keep going--maybe you are going to drop alot all at once.

Thanks buttonsandbones for the Welcome! Today was my first weigh in and I lost 6 pounds.

I originally only ordered 2 weeks worth of WS so I need to order asap so I don't run out! Anyone know the most economical way to do this? The budget around here is very tight!

Thanks

Hi ladies: Looks like we are all still here. Irish51-I am back on track.... What about you? Are you using any calorie tracking?

I was very close to giving up. Had close to a 10 day bing. I made up my calories by just entering 2000 for the days. I was sure I would have gained so I am very pleased that I did not..... This week is going better..... Looking forward to being closer to 200 than 300..........

One way to save money is to buy Pure Protein bars instead of Diet Direct. You can get them at Walmart (uggh, really not a fan of Walmart) by the prescription area...... in last Sunday's paper their was coupons for a product called-Premier protein.... Though I have not tried these but they are very high in protein.....

Thanks Sheri,
I wondered if there were some bars out there with similar protein grams. Is the calorie count similar as well? Also are there shakes out there that are comparable to the WS products? I have completed about 1 1/2 weeks so far and I am liking this, it is just so expensive and with having a large family, money is very tight! I want to be able to continue if I can do a cheaper option!

Thanks for your input!
