Good Morning All

Kinda surprised me to see our old thread closed. Hope everyone navigates to this one.
PLP: I agree with Shero that you need to talk to someone at Diet Direct about the rash. I haven't heard of an allergy to whey protein, but they should be able to tell you if it's common or unheard of. I hope it's environmental or contact allergies so you can continue this journey with us.
Ms. Miller: I started Wonderslim/New Lifestyle on Nov 6. Just had my 13th weigh in and have lost 50 pounds. My loss seems to have now settled between 2 and 3 pounds a week. I still have almost 50 to lose, but even at that...I should be at my goal by mid summer at the latest.
Shero: Running errands today and will stop by either the post office or UPS to ship your box. Will let you know which way it ships.
Hope everyone has a great, on plan, day!

MsModelSara 02-08-2012 05:37 PM

I was surprised to see that thread closed as well! Oh well. :-)

Today is day 3 for me and I'm doing pretty good. I saw someone posted the other day about how horrible they thought the Strawberry shake was and I didn't think it was bad at all, although I doctored it since I saw how many ppl said that from reading posts before I started. I made it with 1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, added 1/4 cup cold water, 3 good sized frozen strawberries, 1 Tbsp sugar free Torani vanilla syrup, and 2 handfuls ice. It was pretty good!

Also for the vanilla one I make that the same way except I didn't add the strawberries and instead added a bit of pumpkin spice and a little extra cinnamon. It was so good. mmmmm

I LOVE the apples and cinnamon oatmeal for breakfast! I put 1 packet of Truvia on top and sprinkle in cinnamon and mix and I'm in heaven. And I can't get enough of the spicy mac n cheese, I put a little parmesan cheese on it to mix in, I've had it all 3 days for lunch haha. I also love the chocomint bar.

I am battling some mental cravings today though. The BF is having chicken wings for dinner tonight and I'm trying hard to stick to my guns in saying I'm ONLY eating my lean cuisine steamer meal and then having either hot chocolate or my cheesecake for dessert later.

In other news - I was promoted at my job AND got news that I'm being hired on full time!!! Which means an initial raise through the temp agencies to last through the hiring transition upon whihc I will receive another increase when I'm switched to salary since that's how this company pays it's IT department personnel. I've been doing temp/contractor work for the past 3 years at various companies since it's SO incredibly hard to get a job anywhere so I been going through temp agencies. But this company wants to keep me. I wanted so badly to go out to a restaurant and get a fattening calorie loaded meal to celebrate since that's what my old habits were like...but I didn't allow myself to do that! Instead I made a big green salad with a lil grilled chicken strips and low cal ceasar dressing and for dessert had the "cheesecake". I was a good girl :-).

Hope everyone else's week is going as fantastic as mine is!!

It's actually pretty common for people with dairy intolerance to be allergic to whey or lactose..or just intolerant at the "milder" end of the spectrum. I'm casein intolerant (which isn't as common) so if I have to much dairy I get all kinds of bloating and gurgling/bubbles in my tummy and intestines and major discomfort for hours if not a few days after eating it.

I used to like pretending it wouldn't make me feel sick and I was addicted to the frozen frappucino things at Wawa and always got the vanilla creme one which has a milk base and I would drink a large one and within 20 minutes I'd be feeling sick to my stomach and gassy and would have the runs for 2 days. Talk about punishment! haha...don't ask why but I would still get them. i get reactions like this to many foods..mostly when I eat too many starchy foods and foods with wheat/gluten. I'm about 90% sure I have celiac and not just "gluten intolerance" but the GI dr I went to thought it would be a waste of time to endoscope me to check for intestinal damage so i went down a self destructive path binging on food and disrepecting my body which is part of the reason I've ballooned up so badly.

Now that I've gone on that long tangent...my point is basically to definitely listen to your body and talk to a Dr as soon as you feel like something isn;'t right. By continuing to eat foods that are bad for your body and you either can't digest or tolderate you cause damage to your body and then it's downhill from there. I am working on slowly cutting out gluten and casein from my diet - which will take away most of the options for me from the standard american diet ...talk about depressing! But I feel like I need to get my portions and cravings under control before getting too crazy with diet alterations.

Anyway, best of luck in figuring out the hives/allergies!

REKP 02-08-2012 06:18 PM

Congratulations!

Sara:
Congratulations on your new job...but a bigger "attagirl" for not celebrating in a way that would make you feel bad later! Way to go.
Thanks for the information about the diary allergies/intolerance. Hopefully plp's problem will just be contact or environmental.

TOY 02-09-2012 01:56 AM

Color me shocked, too, for the change in the thread. It switched out a bit differently last time but I'm still so new I don't know the pattern. I just go to the last page so I don't have any difficulty in navigating. Makes it harder though to go back to respond to others at first...

I almost totally forgot to post today...weird, I know. I'm still in a bit of a limbo stage and plan a total restart tomorrow morning. I think my creating a bit of the "excitement" again is going to help me get back in focus.

Anyway, if my posting is limited in the next few days, it's because I'm hoping to tackle some major housework I've been postponing. I'm not gone for good so no rescue attempts needed but when I'm hungry and tired, I avoid temptation by going to sleep. May be doing several sleep "breaks" the next few days as I restart again.

I'll drop in when I can but for sure by the weekend I should be back in my pattern. Ugh...gotta try something. I'm just wasting this month by the day!

REKP 02-09-2012 09:11 AM

Toy: It's great to see you back. Sometimes pressing that "reset button" is a good option. Look forward to your posts!

Hope everyone has a successful, on plan, day.

Checking into the new thread to show support for everyones on plan Thursday! I'm doing full liquid today to give it a try.

TOY 02-09-2012 11:37 AM

Reality check this morning...

Up 3 pounds. Disgusted and disappointed with myself but with the last few days of destructive behavior, I do realize it could have been much worse.

Felt like I needed to re-establish a weight since this will affect March 1's weigh in.

Grrr...one foot in front of the other and one day at a time...where along the way did I lose my determination? Don't answer that...I know...unfortunately.

Hope all of you have a great day. I wasn't going to weigh and then I certainly wasn't going to post the result but I decided to act reasonably instead of the immature way that beckoned...you know...the "big girl panties" and all that...LOL

My battery went dead but I'm in the process of recharging it...all puns intended.

nowisthetime 02-09-2012 12:33 PM

day 6

I understand TOY, but im glad youre back on track...Ive been having constant mental battles. im on day 6, and every night when i get home from work, I see my BF having a burger or hot wings or something and i will try to justify having some too with the "OHHH ill just eat it and do atkins" BUT i dont bc i know ive been messin around tryin that for weeeks and dont lose a pound. SO- I eat my LG or my spicy mac n cheese pasta and move on. Im not really sure what me weight loss is bc im using an old scale that is not digital, so if you step on it one way your weight is diff, or if you get off and back on its another weight all together. I THINK im down 8 pounds this week so far, BUT could be more like 5 or 6. Im going to get a digital one today I think. So far i really love all the meals. the only gross thing is the Berry protein drink. :( it tastes like crushed up flintstones vitamins and smell like medicine. hope all is doing well. I get to do my official weigh in on saturday and will post results :) next week im not gonna weigh daily.

ChattieOne 02-09-2012 05:30 PM

Wow .. I'm sure glad to see everyone here! ((and I was also very disappointed to see the other site closed ~ and a little scared too!)).

Today is my day 5 and I'm doing very well! Got over my cookie blunder the other night and got 100% back on track.

I do have a question for all you WSers ... The book says to have an extra shake or pudding if you find yourself hungry .. well, I had a banana (is that really bad?) I figured that's better than many things I could have grabbed!

Today I had the veg sloppy joe for lunch .. I also shredded some lettuce and chopped 1/2 a tomato and brought that to work in a container ... just plopped the veggie joe mix on top after i heated it, mixed, and viola! - my version of a hot taco salad (it was yummy!).

We'll see how I did this Saturday morning .. I'm still a paid WW member (even though I don't do that program now) .. so, will be interesting to see what my loss is there; I figure I can still use the extra support, its the scale I've been on each Saturday, and I'm paid up for awhile so why not!

Remember to be kind to yourselves, friends <3

REKP 02-10-2012 08:27 AM

Good Morning everyone

Hope everyone is planning a good, on program, day.

I found this blog yesterday and although I know Wonderslim uses mostly whey protein instead of soy protein (like Medifast) I was interested in the recipes she posted. I've already tried the muffin recipe I found on another blog using one package of the apple cinnamon oatmeal and one package of hot cake mix. I added some more cinnamon about 4 oz of water and baked them 12 minutes. They are really good for a change. 2 packages makes 2 muffins, so you get one muffin per serving. I'm looking forward to getting my second shipment from Walden Farms. This time I ordered some of their 0 everything fruit spread. I'll use it on my muffins.

Nowisthetime: It's hard to resist when people around you are eating things you want, but that is going to happen for life. Resisting now strengthens you to resist next time, then before you know it...it isn't bothering you anymore. I've been surprised how much my resistance has grown in 3 months. Well...except for that french toast commercial :) I'm sure I would break over big time if those came into our house.

Chattie: You could have made a LOT worse choices than the banana. haha
I read something recently that I'm going to apply to my diet plan. If I'm not hungry enough to drink a shake, I'm not hungry. Hope your weigh in goes well tomorrow. We have 3 or 4 now that weigh on Saturday, me included. Tomorrow will be a celebration.

Toy: I'm so glad you're back with us. I miss your posts, I miss your support and the words of wisdom. You had a speed bump in this diet, that's all. I admire your determination to get right back on plan.

REKP 02-10-2012 08:29 AM

Forgot the blog name...

The blog I referenced, with the recipes, is called escape from obesity.

Shero 02-10-2012 03:05 PM

Thank you REKP-I found my support. I thought everyone had left.

Toy you just hang in there-your body is going through something.

For those of you that want to eat other things than Wonderslim I wanted to let you know that I am. Yesterday morning I was at 249.2-that is an 18# loss since Jan 1. This am I was at 251 but I had Chinese for lunch so I think it was sodium "water weight". I am keeping close tabs on my calories. Wonderslim gives me my breakfast and I have been using some Nutrisystem products I got at Big lots. My long term goal is to be able to eat smaller portions.

Hope everyone finds this thread. I was so confused.

speedofsound 02-10-2012 04:54 PM

Went to a rock concert out of town Wednesday with a friend and went out for lunch first and then dinner afterwards. It was a planned event we had planned on for a least 3 months and I knew it was going to effect weight loss I had going.......... and it did. Ate at a pretty swanky restaurant in Atlanta for lunch that we had been wanting to visit for a long time, then after the concert we went to Ihop (ouch!) then on the long ride home we stopped at a truck stop that had a 24 hour Arby's (ouch ouch!!) I tried tallying everything the best I could and no doubt i consumed over 5000 calories in that 12 hour period :(

So, that being said I had a 2 day setback and was up 4lbs, but I just now weighed in at the same weight I was before going on the binge eatout wednesday night, so thankfully I'm back on track and hope to post a small loss by Monday morning which is my weekly weigh in day. BACK ON TRACK-- no biggie and it was totally expected (No more planned outing for a while, but they will happen here and there and I can deal with the ramifications)

MsModelSara 02-10-2012 06:35 PM

OK...this is the 3rd time I'm trying to type in my post!!! I keep hitting the dumb touch pad on my laptop and it keeps highlighting and deleting my text.. RRRROOOOAAAARRRRR!!!

hehe...well I am having a great week! It's been 5 days since I started and I snuck on the scale after work today to get a peek of my weight (even though I'll have a normal weigh-in Monday mornings in the buff after using the RR) and I'm at 237!!! I won't update my ticker til after Monday morning's weigh-in because it'll be more official and I know it'll be lower :-D. I'm SO HYPED!!! I don't even feel like I'm dieting because everything I've had has been so yummy. Add in the fact my pants are fitting better since I'm a lil less bloated and I'm on cloud 9 to see this working in just 5 short days. *sigh* :-)

I'm hoping to be either at or under 200 lbs by the end of May...we're going to vegas for just under a week. Aaaiiiiyyeeeeeee!! :-D I've never been there and I'd love to be able to buy some cute new outfits. I'm so excited to be healthier and the thought of being in better shape for this summer is lifting my spirits like they haven't been in sooooo long.

I've been battling autoimmune thyroid disease for yes, and it's been killing me inside. :-( I gain weight just by looking at food, my hair would fall out in chunks, my skin felt like leather and would always be itchy, my face was always puffy...and not from being as fat as I am...it was a different kind of puffy. But I feel like there is a light at the end of this tunnel. I've had God wake me up recently and this past month since I've been back in a Church and going down the path i feel like He is pushing me toward and I can't believe how much things have improved for me and how quickly in all areas of my life, not just my health. It truly is amazing how much He loves us and how he will really guide you where you are meant to go if you just listen. It's a blessing I'm even alive...I was born November 6th, but February 8th should have been my birthday. My mom reminded me the other day about my story - being born 98 days early and she was told not to get attached to me because it was only a matter of time before I died. Everyone has a purpose in life, we just have to be open to His plan for us and things fall in place. The hardest part is opening up so we can hear Him.

Sorry for "preaching" if anyone doesn't believe or is squeamish about faith talk...I just had to give it back to Jesus for saving me. <3 because without Him I wouldn't be here today....literally.

I hope everyone is having a great day!!

TOY 02-10-2012 11:35 PM

Sara, the birth of a child is always a miracle but it sounds as if your survival was a miracle of great proportions! I think it's wonderful that you realize and embrace that you have a special purpose.

Speed, more than likely that fast gain you experienced was from the salt in the restaurant foods. That pesky sodium can really do a number on you but thankfully it can be flushed out pretty quickly, too. I think you were wise to go ahead and enjoy your planned outing and then get back to your program. I think sometimes I overcompensate "after" the fact because I felt so deprived at the time. This is a long road ahead and life doesn't just stop for dieters. I think I'm needing to adjust my "all or nothing" mentality as it doesn't seem to be fitting properly.

Shero, I still haven't understood why our thread was closed...don't suppose it matters since we have another one but for some reason I expected it to go much longer. Oh well...as long as we all migrated to the new one, no harm done.

Chattie, I've been meaning to try that sloppy joe packet but haven't. You made it sound so good that I think I will. I had heard other good reviews about it but somehow it keeps getting pushed back into the corner while I continue to pick my favorites.

Speaking of which...did you all get an email about WS cookies? I'm not sure if they are totally new but they are new to me. I ordered some for those days I have trouble getting everything in. Somehow I doubt I'll have trouble eating a cookie...LOL

Rose, where exactly is that blog? I had found one on here that I really enjoyed reading but can't locate it now. Don't know if the girl has gotten too busy to write entries or what but I loved her style of writing. I never could figure out how to bookmark her blog either.

Nowisthetime, about a year or so ago I bought one of those doctor type, balance arm scales. I had a digital scale and an old-fashioned scale already but neither of them ever gave a consistent reading. It was just like you described. I could step off and then back on and get something very different. Never did know what was right! Finally my husband insisted I buy the doctor kind...LOL...the only time he ever "insists" I buy something is when he's tired of hearing me complain about it.

ExTex, hope all is going well for you.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Weigh Day

Good morning everyone. I love these weigh days, I never said that when I was not on a weight loss plan! I lost 2 pounds this week, now at 206. I can just get a glimpse of Onederland over the hill. Even with these stinkin' 2 pound a week losses I should, hopefully, reach it by the end of the month.

Sara: What an amazing start to life! I'm a believer also, and know I can't make it one day without leaning on Jesus. I feel like this whole diet has been by His strength, not mine.
I felt the same way you do when I discovered Wonderslim. I knew I had found the diet I could stick with for the long haul. I'm eating more now than I did prior to the diet and am losing instead of gaining.

Speed: Glad you had a great time at the concert. Like Toy said it's a life process so a planned deviation from the diet is going to occur with life events.

Toy: The blog is escapefromobesity (d0t) net. I haven't been able to post a link here.
So..to everyone...hope you have a more successful weight loss than I have this week!
Shero: Wow, you are getting some great losses! Congratulations and keep up the good work.

peyton0914 02-11-2012 12:21 PM

Hi everyone I'm so glad I found this thread for Wonderslim. I was hoping they had a website with forums like medifast does but this is nice to see. I ordered Wonderslim and it arrives on Tuesday I can't wait to start. I read a ton of reviews and decided to do WS instead of Medifast because of cost and taste. I've done Medifast and I don't like most of the products and I was always hungry. I have 110lbs to lose and I want to lose 60 of those by he end of August when we are going to Disney I refuse to be this fat for Disney and I need all the support I can get.
What do you find works best with wonderslim? I can't drink just shakes I need food so I ordered shakes, puddings, pretzels, chips and the entrees like cheesy mack and a few others. Just wondering what you all have on a tpical day and how you have made this program work best for you? Advice and support is much appreciated!!!

Melissa from NJ :)

REKP 02-11-2012 12:33 PM

Words of wisdom

I was whining to my husband about my 2 pound loss this week. He is my voice of reason. He said "You're doing all you can co. All that's left is patience." I have a problem being patient when I want more results and I want them faster. Oh well...quiting is not an option, so guess I'm going to have to work on my impatient self.

Melissa, So glad you're here. I love this group, everyone is really supportive.

I'm doing the New Lifestyle diet using Wonderslim products. The products are the same except for cost and customer service :-) I eat every 3 hours starting at 7 am and ending at bedtime. I have a lean and green meal for dinner each night. (8 oz lean protein and 2 cups of green vegetables.) I have anything from the product line that sounds good at the moment for the other meals and snacks. I seem like the salty meals more than the shakes or puddings. I generally will make a pudding out of the shake mix.
Tips: Start drinking a lot of water now to get yourself used to the increase you need when you start the diet. Keep posting! You probably won't encounter anything that someone hasn't been through before and we can all help each other.
Again, welcome!

ChattieOne 02-11-2012 12:52 PM

So, I went to Weight Watchers today to weigh in ... This (remember) is my first week on WS ... and I feel SO MUCH lighter, and my clothes fit SO MUCH BETTER ... so, you can understand my surprise when they told me I was down 3.4LBS ... I assumed it was at least 5! Anyway, I am happy and am aiming for another 3 or more next week.

Last Monday I had that "4 large homemade chocolate chip cookie" fiasco .. but other than that (oh, and an extra 3 oz banana the other day), I've been 100% OP - weighing my portions at dinner and everything.

My husband said my face looks thinner ... which was sweet & encouraging, although I'm actually aiming for parts a little lower than the face to thin out (lol). Sigh!! :/ I guess the part that bothers me is that they say they first week you usually lose more than you will each consecutive week ... so I was hoping for a larger loss. Ok - enough of me whining.

Speed: What concert did you go to? And I would never have been able to survive the Arby's trip (LOVE ARBY'S!!) ... It's wonderful how you "owned" what you did on your trip - accepted your gain, and are now 'back in the saddle' . Accountability and acceptance is such an important part of learning for us in this weight loss venture. Good luck to you (and everyone else) this week!

Hoping to see less of you all next Saturday! :D

peyton0914 02-11-2012 01:13 PM

REKP Thanks for the warm welcome I do look forward to sticking to these groups and losing weight together. I have a long road ahead of me but god willing i will bet back to where I once was. Have a great day!!!! :)

peyton0914 02-11-2012 01:45 PM

Do you all have a favorite Wonderslim meal? I'd love to hear more I'm going to read posts on the old threads too.

TOY 02-11-2012 02:00 PM

Welcome, Melissa! Glad to have you join us for the journey. I like the pastas (after I learned to use a large enough bowl to avoid the boil over). Sometimes I add a dollop of fat free sour cream to the pasta with the beef and have a mock stroganoff (sp???...no idea...LOL). Plus, a very big surprise to me has been the mocha shake. Never would have guessed it would be my "go to" before chocolate!

Chattie, sounds like you're off to a good start! More than likely you had already lost your water weight with your WW program. I would guess that what you lost this week is true fat so that's a very good thing!

Rose, shoot, 2 pounds in a week trumps 5 in a month any day of the year...LOL! Don't let yourself get discouraged like I did. I'm still trying to shake off the disappointment.

Shout-outs to the rest of you...ExTex, Speed, Now, Shero, and Sara. Hope you're all having a pleasant weekend. It's really cold here today for a change (unseasonably warm prior to this) and getting my water down is a chore. Oh well, needs to be done regardless of the temp outside.

Good to know about needing bigger bowls thanks Toy!!! Ho long have you been on WS and can I ask how much you have lost? Do you think 60lbs is obtainable for me by the end of August? I can't do just shakes though I the WS snacks and entrees too.

Shero 02-11-2012 07:49 PM

Hi All-

I'm worried about Ms. Miller finding the new tread. I tried to send her a private message but it is not a option. Wish they would have posted where to find us when they closed the tread.

I had the twin grandchildren over night Friday so I was pretty busy. They required a lot of Grandma's attention cause they love to interact with me. So I have played Jr. Monopoly, taught math, been read to and watched them play Mario Cart on the wii. I dread taking them home because going into a home that is such a mess is so disturbing to me. Good grief just throw out some of the garbage laying all over. We rent the house to her and it bothers me so much but what can I do about it? I am just teaching the children while they are here that we clean up after meals, and pick up our toys when we are done so we dont loose the parts. Any prayers for this situation is welcomed. I just plan dont understand.

Hubby's birthday is today so yesterday i made him a cake pizza-it turned out so cool.

I finally feel the weight loss in my clothes. The one thing that get's me is your stomach looks bigger because you begin to loose your apron. I have also been noticing that I get full on smaller portions. You could say I have been "off plan" for a couple days.

Peyton0914 I believe you can loss 60# by August. I am hoping to loss 50# by July 2012. I started in January.

Toy glad to see your still here. I was worried about you. Can you talk with your doctor about increasing your movement. Maybe a little walking?

Did you reading my last post on the old thread?

Have a great evening ladies.

One last thing. My treadmilling has been going great. I have increased my distance in the last week. Excitement!!!!!!!!!!!

TOY 02-11-2012 07:56 PM

I do think you can do 60 by August. You're young and probably quite active. I think it is very reasonable to expect 10 pounds a month so that should work for you. If it doesn't, you'll be very close!

I've lost 24 pounds...correction, 21 pounds since I regained 3 but I am nearly 60, have some health issues, and so inactive I almost could be rooted. I keep planning to go sign up for water therapy exercise but it seems to keep being postponed. Right now we are awaiting some test results to see if my husband will need to be hospitalized...chronic issue that had been a bit better the last couple of years. So much better that we had almost forgotten the frequent hospital stays of the past.

Anyway...if you guys miss me for a day or so, don't worry. I may not be where I can access my laptop for a day or so. We may be traveling out-of-state for a surgery. I just don't feel like explaining it right now as it is a lengthy thing to understand. Short story is it involves his gastric pacemaker and we don't know what's happened...could be the battery or a wire dislodged. Last time a wire had eroded into his stomach and they had to cut a little wedge of the stomach out. I'm hoping and praying this isn't as serious as that was. I think we may know more after a test they'll run on Monday. Not going to think about it right now since we're at the waiting stage.

As for my diet...stress always causes problems but it's a catch-22 as the nerves also cause an upset stomach...not going to concern myself with that now either. This is one of those life moments when the diet dims and other priorities surface.

Do you all have a favorite Wonderslim meal? I'd love to hear more I'm going to read posts on the old threads too.

I'm doing the New Lifestyle Plan using the Wonderslim products. I'll often times add a can of diced Tomatoes to several of the entrees in order to beef up the volume. It turns them more into a soup or stew, but I cook it down to make it nice and thick/chunky. Throw some rotel into the spicy chili and it will more than double the volume while adding only 65 calories. Its extra spicy though and will clean your sinus! The Tomatoes are part of your lean and green for the day and they are allowed. One thing I am thinking about doing is adding a can of tuna fish to the spicy mac and cheese. I like tuna helper and this might be a good substitution technique to stretch the volume out. On the New Lifestyle Plan you can have 8oz of lean meat a day. I've been on this for less than 2 weeks, so I'm sure I will stumble across some inventive ways to stay on plan and doctor up the meals at the same time. Let me know if you come across any!

Yummy these are very good ideas and I look forward to trying these as I too love tuna! I don't get my order until Wednesday but I can't wait to start! I'm really hoping I like it better than the Medifast diet!!!:carrot:

Good Morning

Speed: What a great idea to add tuna to the spicy mac and cheese. I usually fix a box (7 portions) at once, on the stovetop to have them ready for the week without having the infernal boil over in the microwave when I fix them one at a time.
Melissa: I think you can lose 60 pounds by mid August. Think of all the fun at Disney in your new size!
Toy and Shero: I said a prayer for both of you and your families this morning.
Toy: I'm going to try to implement your plan to weigh only once a month. I was seriously disappointed in my loss this week and the amount I still have ahead of me to lose. I've put the bathroom scale away, hopefully only to be seen the first of every month. Wish me luck fighting the pull to drag them back out and "check" to see if I've lost.

Welcome Melissa! From what I've read in past threads and how supportive these guys are, you've found a great group to stick with through your journey. I myself am just 6 days in now. :-) So far my typical day looks a lil like this: wake up about 6:45a, have my morning apples n cinnamon oatmeal and a mocha shake with instant coffe and unsweetened almond milk; morning snack around 9:30 and will be another shake made with unsweetened almond milk, lunch a lil after 12 and I have been eating the spicy mac n cheese every day because i love it that much..and have a snack bar with it, afternoon snack around 3:30 which is another shake with unsweetened almond milk, then dinner between 5:30-6:30 which will be something like a ceassar salad or some shrimp and veggies. then cheesacake around 8.

It's completely do-able!

2 lbs a week is fabulous! Don't let that get you down!!!

It's gotta feel good when other people notice you are losing :-)

Sounds like you are doing great! Just a word of caution - while I'm no expert on this plan by any means, nor have I been on it long...I've read tons of posts and threads on various forum sites where people get stuck into a plateau with not losing when they try to hard to pick different aspects of different plans to suit their needs/wants. If it's working for you that's fantastic! :-) It's easier to get too many calories or carbs or what have you when you are mixing and matching plans.

If any of you are interested in some clothing there are new posts on the clothing exchange.

I am worried about my yorkie Teena-she is not doing well. Looks like her heart is beating fast. She is acting strange also. She is 13 years old so who knows what is going on. If she isnt doing better in the am looks like a visit to the vet.

I like the idea of weighing once a month, it is difficult for me not to look at the scale but I think monthly would prove to be rewarding. I have to get weekly down first! LOL . MY order will be here tomorrow after work woohoo I get to start on Wednesday yay!

Good Morning everyone:
Sara: The New Lifestyle diet products and Wonderslim products are the same. Only different packaging. I have been doing the same thing as speed and following the new lifestyle diet plan using a combination of new lifestyle and Wonderslim products. Carb, fat, protein grams and calories are pretty much the same for both when totaled.
Now is the time: Your weight loss is wonderful. Glad to see you back on plan.
Melissa: Looking forward to you starting the program, and your posts of success! I'm still avoiding the scale, so guess that would be a "non scale victory: right? :)
Hope everyone has a great, on plan, day.

MsModelSara 02-13-2012 01:09 PM

Happy Monday everyone!!! Y'all shoulda seen how fast I got out of bed and ran down the stairs this morning after using the RR to weigh myself this morning....quite a comical site! And the results are I am down 5.8 lbs for the first week (and my bf is down to 40%...I started at 42%)! I'd say that's VERY successful thus far considering I've eaten out 4 days this week too ;-). So I know I coulda done better since the foods I ate were very healthy, all the added salt and such in it probably didn't let me lose as much. But I'm very proud since I am looking for a lifestyle change as well. Not just dropping weight real fast and then not knowing how to handle myself around real food again. :-D It's just not practical for me to force myself to make food at home for EVERY meal....my schedule is far too hectic.

How is everyone else doing with their battle against the scale?

Awesome, thanks for the clarification! Now it makes much more sense. :-)

peyton0914 02-13-2012 06:03 PM

Congrats Sarah that's a great start how exciting!!!!!

I told myself my daughter and I will enjoy a nice valentine dinner tomorrow night since I don't get my foods until tomorrow night after work and then Right on plan Wednesday yay!!!!

Shero 02-13-2012 07:04 PM

Congrats Sara.

My yorkie is still sick. I dont know if I should take her to the vet or just see how time goes. Teena is 13 so who knows what is really going on. She went to be groomed on Friday and was good until yesterday. Had the twins (grandchildren) on Saturday. Not sure what is going on but she won't eat today. She did this the last time she was groomed but had a flea dip and a seizure afterwards. So this time I told them no flea dip this time. I guess if she is not better by Wednesday it will be a visit to the vet. I'm not ready to let her go and I know she is getting old. Should take her temp but yuk.
