Packaged Meals and Clinics - Nutrisystem, Medifast, Jenny Craig, EtcFor support and questions about diet meal delivery programs, or weight loss clinics that offer prepackaged meals and products.
Hi BetsyAnn - I am here. But I haven't seen or heard much since I started WS two weeks ago. I moved to a different thread for slighly more support. Kudos on re-starting. You and I started at roughly the same weigh and we are the same height. Good luck to you. To date, I have enjoyed WS and the weight loss...hope to keep it up! Will be nice to have a fellow Wonderslimmer...
I'm still here, haven't had much time to more than lurk.
I'm not following the WS plan anymore. I'm following a gluten free diet at the moment to see if helps with possible celiacs. I gained some back, and then lost it, then stalled a bit. I'm starting to lose again now and am feeling good.
How does WS keep you in ketosis when you eat the starch and fruit? I am leaning towards WS instead of Medifast because I like the idea of having a fruit or grain sometimes but I'm just wondering how it works.
amycue - I don't have an answer for you other than, it does. I test myself twice a day with ketone strips and I have been in ketosis since three days after staring WS a few weeks back. I'll be honest though, I don't eat the fruit it recommends. Other than that, I do the plan 100% OP. I read somewhere that it varies person to person, but usually, if you are under 90 grams, you are usually in ketosis. Of course, who knows if I am remembering that number correctly
Hi, I just started WS 4 days ago. So far, it's not too bad. This is my first real diet and/or way of life that I have vowed to stick to until I meet my goal. Prior to this I had only tried extreme diets like juice fasts and never made it passed day 4. So this will be a true test. I had always been thin. Now I'm 42. In the last 5 years I've managed to gain 45 pounds. Anyway, I've been looking at these blogs for motivation and glad to see that other folks have recently started as well.
Welcome autopilot! Kudos to you! I started WS on July 17th and have since lost 19.6 pounds. I am averaging roughly 5 pounds a week at this point. I am with you, not so bad. In fact, I have been surprised to find it is actually really easy to stick to, all things considered. The only meal I absolutely do not like is the pancakes, but I found a few ways to make them more eatable. But, congrats, and hope you do great. Keep us posted!
Yeah, I was like that too, then once I finally caved, I ran my tongue across the carpet they were so bad (then again, some people swear they are the best, so taste IS subjective.) The biggest problem I found is the lack of taste aside from what I amounted to the taste of chemicals. I have two tricks for the pancakes, and seriously, it makes them 100 times better, to the point I actually like them if I do one of the below:
1 package of oatmeal
1 package of pancakes
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 packet of Splenda
Preheat oven to 375. Mix all together. Put in two tin foil muffin liners (or if you have a small muffin pan with only two, that works too.) Bake for 9-12 minutes. They will be slightly dry, but they actually taste pretty awesome. Makes two servings, so you have breakfast for two days. And each one is surprisingly filling.
<OR>
1 package pancake mix as directed
1 package of Splenda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or all spice
Hi all. I am back. Welcome to those that have just started using WS. I have been so busy and so off plan for July. I have so much drama going on in my life right now, but am glad that I am NOT gaining any of my weight back!
I am not able to afford using much of WS right now, but it is what got me on track and off my butt so this forum is still important to me.
I am using Pure Protein bars since with coupons I can get those for free and Slim Fast until life gets a little better.
Congrats to all that are here. We are all a work in progress
