Going to first meeting
 

Tonight I plan on going to our local group. I have been planning to go for a couple of weeks. It always slips my mind! I figure that is some avoidance.
I thought if I wrote on here that I was going, it would help me get there!!

I have a lot to learn but I really liked my first meeting. Lots of :hug: too!

Congrat's I really hope the meetings help. I'm too ashamed to put myself out there...

I haven't gone to a face to face meeting yet... but I've been listening to the L.A. OA podcasts and chatting in online meetings. I talked to someone yesterday in a chat that literally got the ball rolling for me. Today, at a work lunch, I had my first abstinent meal. I asked my higher power to take over because obviously my plans weren't working. It was amazing. Please try at least some online meetings. I've made it so far already and haven't even brought myself to go f2f yet! *hugs*
