You aren't 0 carbs - there is 1 gram of carb in each egg. This is totally lacking in important vitamins and minerals so I hope you are supplementing.

Hi Susan,
Well actually there is .5 grams in one egg. So your right about it's not true zero. Some days I don't eat eggs and I haven't been perfect with this plan.
I do supplement and do bone broth. I have been out of town for a while and that made it near impossible to stay with this. But I'm back on plan and ready to rock....

Another thing about Zero Carb is that some folks just eat from the animal kingdom and don't worry about the few carbs in things such as eggs, liver, cheese etc. Technically it is not pure Zero Carb, but that is just what it is called.

I know some folks eat just meat and drink water. Some supplement and some don't. So there is little variables going on here with this plan. I use cod liver oil and flax and coconut and walnut oils, which is my preference. They are all zero carb, but aren't all in the animal kingdom. So tweaking for your own taste and body needs is ok. Eggs are totally worth the carbs in them. I try to stay with zero carb cheeses, but a cheese burger eating out is ok with me. I'm really feeling quite good on this woe, and I will be upping my carbs once I hit goal. Plus my occasional slip off the diet. I'm doing better about not cheating than I use to. Much better.

FinallyFree, kind of did your way of eating once and loss almost 11lbs in a month. I was walking 3+ miles a day and I did have veggies also. Keep up the good work. I wonder if I could actually only eat meats. That's a thought

Hi Love2b,
Well I did lose 10 pounds in one month with cheating. Speaking of cheating, I did it yesterday and woke up wishing I hadn't. It was one of those candy cheats and lots of fattening stuff and wondering why I did that. Oh well back to it.

I do eat cheese and I'm trying to alternate days with that just to change things up for me. But I'm not going to count that as a cheat on my diet. Lots of cheeses are zero carb, but those calories can add fast. I'm just now starting to exercise. I don't want to do to much and make myself hungrier.

I use cheese as a zero carb food also. I don't eat enough of it to count the carbs in it and it is filling. I actually put mustard on cheddar cheese for the added umph I have an issue with eggs and burping this horrid burp. I would like to try just one day of meat to see how I'd do. I'll let you know if and when I do Keep up the good work

Thanks for posting. I'm pondering Zero Carb. I've done keto and I'm currently doing Ideal Protien (low carb but with purchased products). I will be doing a lot more reading before I dive in. What resources have you liked so far?

Thanks! Desirae

Hi Desirea,

I did quite a bit of looking before I leaped. I'm not sure if 3fatchicks allow posting of websites, but I suggest a search on Zero Carb and you will come up with a niche of info. I will say this seems a bit extreme to some folks, but I do bone broth and supplements and they say beef has so much of what a person needs for health. So I include it every other day or so.

Please join me if you decide to do it.

Best Wishes

Ok - I think I have read enough. I'm in! Today is my day 1! I already had some coffee with butter and eggs for breakfast. Plan on doing hamburger/bacon for lunch. I'm going with whatever is easy because that is what I need right now. Not in it for variety, etc.

I have been doing a low carb/low fat diet, so cutting the carbs shouldn't be too painful. I'm happy to welcome back the fat tho! I'm going to stick with no tracking, eat when hungry, drink when thirsty.
Today I weighted 157.2. Next week I will have a scale that does body fat % too. I'm interested to track that because on the Ideal Protein diet my body fat % was not going down, I was losing muscle as well as fat. I'm not a fan of that and hoping this will help!

And.... I need more meat! I had my double cheeseburger with bacon 3 hours ago and I'm hungry again. Not going to make it to dinner. Will try and pack some hard boiled eggs for tomorrow? I am having one of my low-carb drinks right now. So not a wasted day.... just not 'perfect'.

Wow! Welcome, Welcome and let me grab your coat tails. Did you happen to find the blog call MyzeroCarblife? That one was really motivating and mad me feel safe on this WoE.

I am going to try and develop the IF style of eating with this, but yesterday, I just got too hungry and ate some peanuts and PB. I know that's a no no. But I figure if I fall off the wagon at least try and stay in ketosis by falling into something low carb. So no weight gain today. No loss either.

Once again, Welcome my friend and looking forward to reaching our goals.

I did read that one! And read a few off of ZeroCarbZen. I'm on a few facebook groups now too.

I'm ready for zero carb day one (take 2). I had black coffee and some eggs for breakfast. I have a decent portion of ground beef /bacon/cheese ready for my lunch and snack probably.

I like the idea that we can fall back on other keto foods if needed, and probably still be in a good weight loss/health zone. I'm looking forward to not being so hungry.... I just lost 15 pounds with another (costly) program and all my clothes fit great. So right now I'll be happy if I just don't gain! Although still wanting to get some downward trend by the end of the year.

My weight is down some - from 157.2 to 156.6. I was down to 154 in the last few weeks though (had one highhhh carb day) and hope to get back to there soon.

BTW - we have the same final weight goal - 130. I'm 5'2" and 130 was my high school weight.
