Watching the early morning news I saw a doctor discussing a "new" approach to diabetes type 2. Apparently it has been discovered that going on a 500 calorie diet for four months in order to lose weight quickly has helped many type 2 people being able to come off their meds and lead an altogether more healthy life.

In view of the fact that there are so many ready to jump into action the minute I confess to being on a 1000 cal diet I hate to think of the response should this be my next move....

Cals 1200 Carbs 60 SatFat 20 Protein 60 Sodium 1500 Fibre 20

All the world is mad except thee and me and even thee's a little odd.

Remarkably, maybe only eating 5oo calories automatically limits the carbs? If that's all I was going to get I'd want it in medium-well done steaks and coffee with cream.

Another surprise - LOW CARB works for it miraculously too! OK, most any diet you lose weight on will work too. Those fat cells affect insulin resistance. Losing them, losing some of the problem.

What a genius. seriously.
