Default Question about a snack/meal I have

Hey,

I regularly make this snack for myself (or sometimes have it as a meal) when I'm hungry, mostly when I feel hungry at night (because somehow I just don't have the self control to not have anything). If anyone has the time or inclination, could someone please tell me if this is ok to have often or if it's not good, because even though I think I'm having less than my calorie limit and exercising a bit, I'm not losing any weight.

The snack I have is a salad with the following ingredients.

2 medium tomatoes (raw)
1 medium onion (raw)
1/2 mango (raw)
3 green chillies
Coriander
Raw garlic
1 lemon
2 tablespoons of a mint sauce
2 slices of toast (brown, not white)

I basically chop all of that up and put it in a bowl and have it with the toast. I have it really often. Is it unhealthier than I think it is?

That's at least 300 calories - too man6y for a snack. It's all carbs - that will surely stop your weight loss.

The mint sauce if bottled is sugar loaded and the bread obviously a carb. If the taste is what helps you can- you maybe turn this into an egg white scramble as the protein will help. So no bread, check the mint sauce label and go from there. We can help you rework the mint sauce if it is super sugary.

Thanks for the replies. Really appreciated.

I think I'll cut out the sauce and the toast and maybe add an egg white.

You know what might be really good with that? Chickpeas. Also, if it is around 300 calories, are you still falling under your calorie limit? How many calories are you eating?

I'm also assuming you are using an Indian mint sauce which I'm guessing has little if any sugar in it. It should be ok but I would check the calories on it.

I do fall under or around my calorie limit because I normally only have three medium meals in the day. I'll check out the calories in the sauce, but I'm not too fussed about giving that up. If anything, I'd rather keep the toast

how about 1 slice of toast then? I'd just say make sure you are keeping within your calorie count and your snack is fine.
