Dolly if you look in the diet food section there is a caramel dip with 0 calories, I just can not remember the brand name. and it does taste good for apple dip

apples, squashes (pumpkin & butternut squash in particular), anything with cinnamon in it :)
And pretty much any soup under the sun. Soup is wonderful fall food. |
Soup, glorious soup! And even though I live in Florida, it is North Florida, where we really have seasons, so I eat soup all through October and November. The joke in my office is always that the first chilly spell has everybody run to the grocery store to buy stuff for chili. Made with turkey and lots of veggies, it is great! Plus cajun bean soup (we are real close to Louisiana), potato soup, squash soup, tomato soup (OMG, I am so hungry now!!!!)

Those damn candy corn pumpkins!! I swear they are the root of all evil. :) As for soup, I eat it all year, but this time of year is when I start craving my grandmothers veggie soup so I will probably make some in the crock pot this weekend.
Also being football season, all the yummy football foods and beer. But so far I have been good and not indulged. Donnalu--where are you in north florida? I am in Jacksonville. |
Oh My Nancy, I'll be looking for that! Thanks!

Heya All,
My favorite fall food as of this year, is Pumpkin Butter.... yep made from pumpkins in my garden by Judy my fiancee. Scape them out, pressure cook them down, puree in a cusinart... ad spices...ala, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and clove (splenda replaces sugar in the healthy recipe). Cook in crock pot about 8 hours on low, then can in pressure cooker...man it tastes like an apple pie when I put a spoon on the morning english muffin... :) - Elliott |
Starbucks Hot Chocolate (sorry I know not really a food). Sooooooooooooooooooooo yummy!
|
I love soups in the winter. I just made some beef stew tonight, it was healthy filling and wonderful!

Chili.... :)
I use 5 different beans in mine and am going to try ground turkey and turkey sausage this year instead of hamburger & spicy sausage. We have all the fixins' with it. diced onion, shreaded cheese, sour cream, fritos, jalepenos.... along with corn bread. |
I'm craving a really good hot cider, cocoa or creamy chai right now, as it's a rare cool day.

CHILI
I make mine with V-8 Juice, Brooks Chili Beans and ground turkey with spices to perk it up. Low calorie, high satisfaction. :yay: |
