Stuffed Mushroom Appetizer
I made these for during the football game and I'm the only one doing SB. Everyone loved them!
1 pkg large stuffing mushrooms with the stems taken out
1/2 c chopped mushrooms stems
1/4 c onion chopped up really fine
8 turkey breakfast sausage links
2 T FF cream cheese
1 tsp fennel seeds
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c shredded parmesan cheese
Preheat the oven to 350. Wash and de-stem the mushrooms. Chop the onion and the mushrooms stems. Pull the turkey sausage out of the casing and brown it. Add the onion, mushrooms, fennel, salt and pepper. Cook until the veggies are tender. Stir in the FF cream cheese until melted. Spoon the mixture into each mushroom. Top with parmesan cheese. Bake about 30 min until water starts to show at the bottom of the mushrooms.
