Smile Success and more to come!!!

Hey everyone!!
Wow, well this past week was quite successful with eating a healthy breakfast and drinking around 100 oz of water per day! I worked out a total of 150 minutes, not to mention I did a lot of walking on campus.

Yesterday my family came in from Florida/Chicago to celebrate both my brother's wedding and an early Thanksgiving. Needless to say...I splurged, but the great part is that both my mom and I are ready to get back on track.

For this upcoming week my goals are:
-To drink between 80-100 oz of water/day
-Eat a fiber/protein filled breakfast
-Not compare myself to others

Again...this might still be a little step for me, but it's actually helping me stay faithful by making small changes each week.

Oh yeah, and I've lost 2 pounds!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week, and I pray you all achieve your goals!

~Love and Prayers,
Amy

Way to go! I think I sometimes lose track of the fact that it's all the mini-goals that lead us to achieve bigger ones. The 3 you've listed are a timely reminder to me as well so thanks for that.

It's really cool that you have your mom to team up with. You should be able to keep each other motivated.

Thumbs up Update

Well, so far so good!!! I just got finished with my healthy breakfast and getting ready to start chuggin my water!
Yesterday, I made a point to clean out the 'left-over-desserts' from our Thanksgiving. I packed a bunch up and gave them away, also took a trip to Kroger and picked up some more water.

Thank you for the comment, Mummy!!!
Well, I'm gonna get off of here and drink some coffee and head to Curve's.
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Cool Another day down...and it's goooood!

Well, today was almost a complete success!! I almost got all of my water in...I think around 75 oz..but thank God or that!!
Worked out for 30 minutes @ Curves and ate a healthy breakfast. I was SOOO tempted to compare myself to others today...and started to...when I remembered my goal. It is hard not to compare yourself to others, but we are all individuals and cannot do that. We can look to others for inspiration and motivation...but not to judge our worth.
Thank you for the support.
My oldest brother just got home from a month in alcohol rehab, and he is the one who inspired me to take things one day at a time. For true, lasting success you must take it one day at a time.
Praise God!!
I love you all
...on to day 2!!
~Amy

Thumbs up Day 2...getting better!

Well, day 2 went pretty well!!
lol As i was driving 30 minutes to school this morning, I chugged around 48 oz of water....can we say...BATHROOM BREAK!!??
Also had my low sugar oatmeal this morning w/ a cup of coffee *splenda and no-sugar creamer*
I actually felt pretty today for the first time in a while.
Total water consumption for the day = 89oz!!!
As for the other part of my goal, it is still difficult not comparing myself to others, but with time I will get through this.
As much as i want to lose ALL the weight RIGHT NOW...I know it's going to be a slow but rewarding process.
I could easily go on a random diet...but knowing my past results...that would only set me back further. *sigh*
I am still thankful though for the progress thus far!!!

Again, thank you all for the encouragement...it means a lot to me.

I pray you all attain your daily goals!!! *hugs*

Day 3...HERE I COME!!!
