Talking 30 Pounds!

30 pounds lost as of this morning! I'm so stoked - when I set out to do this, I knew I was determined, and I knew that I really needed to lose this weight, but there was always a little part of me saying that this would be like every other time and that I wouldn't actually lose much at all. This is such a huge number for me - I only have 21 pounds to go, and after what I've lost, it feels liek nothing! Most of what I've lost so far has been due to changes in my eating habits, so now it's time to step up my exercise, which should be easy now that it's summer and everyone wants to go outside. I've got a looooooong bike ride planned for tomorrow, and then kayaking and hiking on the weekend - hope this helps me drop another 10 pounds by the end of the summer! Sorry this is just a long, rambling post, but I'm SO excited!

Congrats on getting 30 pounds off. I find once you are over the half way point it seems as if you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Getting this far is the hardest and the next 21 will be gone before you know it.

Absolutely! Ramble on, brag if you want! You have every right to shout it from a mountaintop, as far as I'm concerned. You've done a great job. Congrats!

Your exercise choices sound excellent, too!

Thanks, guys! Stevi - I actually don't have any full body "after" pictures yet, just shoulders and up shots! I'm still a big baby when it comes to having my picture taken, although I've started using a picture from a few years ago as incentive - I NEVER want to look like that again! Give me ten more pounds and I'll put some pics on here. Thanks so much for the encouragement, everyone!
