Default I lost 2 pant sizes! Great considering I have plateaued.

I am almost 6 weeks into my weight loss journey. The other day, I got dress and went to work and I noticed my panties were sliding down in my pants and that my pants and shirt looked baggy on me. I went out and bought some smaller panties and when I went to try on jeans I went from a size 20 to a size 16! I am at a plateau at the moment. I am trying to add the Couch to 5k program into and take away one of my Zumba days (I was doing Zumba 4days a week) to help combat this plateau. I also added 200 calories to my 1400 calorie diet. I hope this works, but as long as I am changing in the mirror...I am happy.

Are you saying you increased calories to help you lose weight? This will not help you lose weight!

FitJourney, it will, in fact, help you lose weight. When your body goes into starvation mode, you lose muscle, not fat. she's fine adding calories based on her exercise program. Everyone is different.

It did work... in fact I am now 48 pounds lighter and in "Onederland". I do think I was in starvation mode around the 220s and I have learned that when that happens I know that I have to eat just a bit more or that my workout needs a change. Thank you dietcokehead98 for recognizing this. We shouldn't be afraid to add some calories to bring our metabolism back.
