20 Percent

  • So I lot of doctors are now advising their overweight patients to try and lose just 10% of their body weight. It's not that much, but they say it can make a huge difference in your health.

    So one of the things I track is percentage of weight lost, and as of today, I've lost 20%. 1/5th of me has vanished.
  • I started with that because I thought "Hey, I can at least do that, and it will make me healthier." I kept going from there.

  • Congratulations! That's HUGE. And according to the all the stories I copyedit at work, 10 percent can really have a significant effect on your health...and more so 20 percent!

    Of course, there's no reason you have to stop there.
  • Congratulations! I am still working on my 2nd 10%. It is a perfect goal amount, I think - big enough to make a difference, small enough to feel doable.
