10 lbs down..!

It's been 5 days on SBD phase 1, and I'm at my weigh in day, Saturday, and I'm down 10 pounds (from 210 to 200). This is a great thing for the obvious reasons, but also because I felt like I wasn't losing any weight at first, but then I decided to just relax and not think about it. This is the first time in a while I haven't weighed myself daily, and that in itself was a goal, and I'm so glad I did it - luckily it paid off. I'm also happy because first the first time, I'm happy to eat what I've been eating. Avocados, black beans, cucumbers, tomatoes like they're apples, and on and on. I love that I can eat as much as I want (and yet I haven't been over eating). Also, for the last 3 or so years, since I seriously started losing weight, I've always done a program where I severely limit calories during the week, and then eat what I want during the weekends, which left me hating weekdays and overdoing it on the weekends. This week it's not like that. I'm gonna eat today exactly how I ate yesterday. That's a very nice feeling. I've also been more active this week, and even though I haven't officially started working out yet - another goal, I've been dancing, gardening, etc, and I just feel really good. So, I just wanted to put that out into the universe and let it known that I'm very grateful.

Great start to SBD! Glad it's working so well for you. I'm a CCer, but we all have to find what works for us on an individual basis. Keep up the great work!

Awesome! I just started SBD in the last few days so it's great to know it's working for people! I'm really enjoying it so far and love not feeling hungry on a "diet". Good on you :)

Two days ago I lifted a 20 lb bag of cat litter to fill the pan and realized that I had lost 10 lbs and while I was thinking" Geesh this bag is heavy" I realize I lost half that bag in weight! Funny how I've never associated my weight loss with a physical item but gosh 10 lbs is nothing to sneeze at! That's a lot of weight when you're lifting it with your hands and feel how much. Congrats!
