Beat the plateau!

I've been stuck hovering around 72-73kg for a couple of months, and this morning I finally saw a 71.9.

YES!!!!!!!!!!

There's just something so much better about 71.9 than 72.0, ya know?

Of course there is a great difference! How relieved you must feel! Keep going!

I've been counting calories for almost a year now (1 year in April) and lost about 70 pounds. This past month though I've hit a sort of barrier or wall. I allow myself a little "treat" on Fridays and then diet the rest of the time, and that's worked well up until now. I didn't realize getting back into the groove after the holidays would be so difficult. This worked for so long and I'd like it to keep working...any tips for me on how to get past this?

Of course -- it's a smaller number! Congratulations!

Ah, that sucks! First, congratulations on your weight loss so far, and for not giving up once you hit the wall! I wish I had more experience so I could give you some helpful advice, but I know if you do a quick search of the forums (up in the purple toolbar) you'll find heaps of posts full of good advice.

For me, it was a case of switching it up - it was time for me to start exercising more, so I got some workout and yoga DVDs and make an effort to do one of them every day. I know that a lot of people have success increasing or decreasing their food intake a little bit.

Best of luck!
