Default NSV-Joining a gym!!!

I'm so excited! I just found out at work tonight that not only is there "girl equipment" in our town's gym now, but they give discounts to law enforcement and I get my own key, so I can go any time I want!

I've been making excuses since I work crazy shifts and I didn't want to join a gym that just had weights and bikes, but no treadmills or ellipticals...but I found out that they have that stuff in the back now. No more excuses left, its only $29 a month for me. And its a family plan, so DH can go get buff and stuff if he wants to.

I haven't been to a gym since college. I'm so psyched to start exercising again! Its been a goal of mine for years to get back to it, I used to work out every day, but I've just been putting it off and putting it off.

Goal for May 19 2013...My 25th Birthday!!!

That's so exciting! I recently joined a gym for the first time-I definitely know the feeling. Congrats on your NSV, which will eventually turn into a HUGE Scale Victory!

Yay! Joining a gym can be so intimidating, inconvenient and generally unpleasant. I have always hated going by myself, especially because it's the "girl stuff" I don't want to do, and the weights that I'm really interested in since I hate sweaty cardio for more than 10 minutes.

Anyway, awesome! What are your exercise goals? Gym for X days/week, X hours a week, or something different?
