I'm happy to report I've shed my first 10 pounds. I won't say it was "easy" -- it's been a lot of work to make time for cooking, shop for fresh ingredients, make healthy snacks, etc. -- but it hasn't been total torture, either.
The best parts have been the following:
1) My fiance's aunt hasn't seen me since I started losing. She saw us Sunday and told him if he's not careful, I will "waste away" on him because she can tell I've lost weight. I'm certainly not wasting away, but it was a nice compliment.
2) I have a nice black suit jacket that I got for a steal. I wore it to a funeral in July, and it looked nice, except it was very uncomfortable in the upper arms. When I sat down, I could barely move my arms around. I wore it to church Sunday and could move freely and sit comfortably.
3) My BMI went from 50.45 to 48.27.
Now I have to get to the store because my produce supply is running low and I don't want to get off track.
